The button just to the right of the "quote" buttom at the bottom og the post.

It just has the qoutation symbol ("). If you hold the mouse over it, it says mini-qoute.

You can go through a thread and click that on each post you want to qoute. And then at the bottom, click post reply and each post you quoted will show up as being quoted in your post.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that once you click the "mini-quote" button, it will turn orange. You can click it again to un-quote.

Its Multi-quote (as in, multiple quote), not mini-quote.

Other than that, very good tutorial. :D

Thanks for the correction. I never really read what it said. I just look at the pretty symbols:laughing:

Well I know how to multi qoute, but what about when some one splits up one qoute into a few different boxes, like if they are answering a few questions from the same person and seperate the questions???

I do a regular "quote" reply, copy then paste the entire quote as many times as I need, then edit/erase the parts that I don't want, leaving each "question" that I want to answer. Just be sure to leave the HTML tag info with each section.

You can copy/paste any string of text...then highlight it...then hit the "quote" icon...

there is no spell check integrated in the forum software...there are third party apps you can download and install as a browser extension...or you can switch to a browser like Firefox that has an integrated spell check ...

I don't get that?

I've seen where the quotes were seperated in shaded boxes but no name in each box.

I thought I had spell check in my IE in the past, must be an option in one of those "bars"?

there is a "quote button" and a "quote icon"...the former will inclue the entire post (you are citing) with the poster ID....the latter will just set whatever string that is quoted in a "quote box"

OK, I just hit at the bottom side of your post the quote button, right? Where is the quote icon?

Sorry, I'm old enough that some of the computer terms are like a different language to me.
