It is the same fuse as the tail lights, don't ask me how I know this. Chances are very good that it is the first fuel filter and that it has water in it. It's the first thing that I would check.

As for the tractor not having an electric fuel pump, perhaps some should look at a Kubota manual sometime, cuz like $114.00 is a big price to pay for something that don't exist.

Someone posted a long time ago that a fuel pump for a 95 Chevy 6.5 diesel would fit a bx23. I made note of that in case I ever needed one for my bx. Don't know if this is true or not.

WHAAA?! I just checked that at diesel pros website and the pic looks eerily similar. the wire end plug looks different tho. can anyone confirm this too?

You do not have an electric fuel pump
as the indirect injection fuel pump does
two jobs; it pulls fuel from the fuel tank
and pumps the overflow unused fuel back
to the tank to aid in warming the fuel and
to keep it flowing as well as not wasting
any fuel.

its the shut down solenoid you may or may
not be hearing. All the Kubotas I evr dealt with
had manual decompression and manual shut down
levers/cables.

The fuel pump fuse is the 15A fuse with the Red/Yel wire.
If I traced the diagram correctly, the blinkers, and even the headlights would be effected if the fuse were blown.

Thanks to everyone, you have been incredible. Yesterday I warmed the garage, added a splash of kerosene to the fuel, added some diesel fuel stabilizer, and filled the tank with new diesel. I checked the wires to the fuel pump, and they appeared to be connected properly. I also checked the fuse and that looks fine. The tail lights, blinkers, and headlights all work.

I started the tractor and ran it for about 20 minutes moving snow around. I then parked it overnight, and ran it again today for another 20 minutes or so. I have had no problems at all!
Now, here's where I'm confused...the fuel pump is not making any noise at all. I get no sound when I turn the ignition key, yet the tractor runs fine. Can these things run fine without the pump? Do I risk causing damage running it this way?

You can check the fuel pump by pulling off the line at the injection pump and then turn the key on and see if it develops any pressure. You will not hurt anything other than your engine will be running in a semi starved condition and it may not even run once the tank gets close to empty.

I have a newer BX2350, and mine makes a clicking noise when ever it is turned on. It could be the main pump has enough suction to keep it running.

Sounds to me that when the key is on but the engine is not running, you used to hear the electric fuel pump. If this is the case, you can take the line off the injector pump, turn your key to the on position without starting motor, and it should pump fuel. If it does, shut it down and reconnect, it's working. Most systems with an electric pump, the pump is switched on with the key to "prime" the system before startup. Just for clarification, this "stabilizer" stuff, do you mean anti-gelling additive? Diesel doesn't really go bad like gas. From what I remember, it actually grows a form of algae, but that takes a few years. When diesel gels, the waxes "solidify" and plug your filter. I use Power Service white bottle to prevent gelling, the Power Service 9-1-1 (red bottle) is for already gelled fuel. Add some of that and change your filter, and you should be good to go. As for hearing your fuel pump, check your fuses and the wiring. I have heard of the injector pump pulling just enough to keep the tractor running, as well as gravity. Somewhere there is a water seperator drain. I would drain that too, just in case. Won't hurt anything. Good luck!!

Are you sure this is not the shut down solenoid opening?

These Indirect injection pumps are capable of suctioning fuel 40-50 feet
to power reefer unit engines without a wimper after priming and bleeding air from the suction and return side of the Direct Injection Fuel primer if used in a remote primer on the fuel tank mounted under the reefer floor frame rails.

The fuel pumps in the tanks are a strange issue as it sounds as if they bought the premolded tanks with pumps included from a manufacturer to fit the models in question which is also troubling as the damaged electric fuel pump would impede fuel flow if the electric pump was jammed.

I have a Carrier reefer unit and it has a 12v lift pump about 18" from the injector pump.
