Bobcat CT335 SST;FERRIS IS 1500Z 25hp 52"
I finally have the permission to PULL the trigger. I should take delivery prior to the week end. I did get the deluxe seat and 1 remote.
It's dressed up with FEL/ BB Sun shade.

Can't wait I have some lingering chores to do.

If you have not already planned on doing so I would recommend filling the back tires. That 8TL loader with a bucket full of dirt will lift the tail right up. It is quite an akward feeing.

Sorry, but I highly disagree.

Do NOT fill the tires. Just get a box blade (which everyone needs anyway) and keep it attached when using the FEL. Takes 2 minutes to install/remove. Once you load the tires, you are stuck with loaded tires and the tractor is pretty much done as a grass mower on a nice lawn. I have picked up overflowing loads with my FEL and never once had an issue of the rear tires coming up with the box blade mounted.

yes Sir the plan was to fill the tires. However I see other replies that differ. I think I'll talk with the dealer and see if I can put this off and do some of the chores with the BoxBlade mounted.

If your working in tight spaces were the extra length of an attachement can be a issue; weighted tires is still a good alternative for ballast. I would suggest reading your operators manual though to make sure you understand what type of tire filling is exceptable without voiding your warranty.

Unless the machine is a dedicated grass mower (in which case you may want a different machine to start up with), filling the tires helps tremendously with the safety factor if you are picking up loads and moving them over ground that is is even slightly un-level. I have loaded rears and keep an 77" Industrial Gannon Box blade out back (1090 lbs) and still can raise a rear tire off the ground with my CT230 while creeping along (slower than walking speed) with a heavy load. I'd rather buy new tires and rims (from rust / rot) than deal with the aftermath of a rolled machine should I live to tell about it. In fact if my machine use increases, I may need to even look into making the stance wider and / or adding rear wheel weights.

Load the rear tires way to many benifits as many have explained. I mow with my ct450 on the nicest lawns, I use a 72 rear finish mower but I do take off the loader completely and always leave lawns lookin good...

I Pulled the Trigger today and will take delivery on Monday HooRah!
I did get the tires filled, the dealer had it completed before I arrived. So my new toy is the CT335 SST with FEL/BoxBlade Deluxe seat 1 rear remote. Tires 1 size larger R-4's than normal issue.

It's here and the rain is keeping me in for the moment. I did take it for a spin and will do some work tomorrow when the ground has dried some. Pics will follow

Regardless whether or not the rear tires are loaded....rear ballast off the 3 point hitch is recommended when doing front loader work.
Without rear ballast off the three point hitch all the weight in the bucket is being tettered on the front axle(not a good thing).
With rear ballast off the three point hitch the weight in the front bucket is distributed over the entire length of the tractor.

Here's my two cents worth on loading or not loading the tires. I'm not for or against it but this is one scenario that has crossed my path. I haul dirt, rock or whatever in my trailer I tow behind the the tractor, when towing I can't have anything on the three point hitch for obvious reasons, but when I disconnect the trailer and attempt to load it I have to remember to scoop smaller loads in the bucket as to not go oops-ee-daisy when raising the bucket too high. I have several dings dents and splinters in the sides my trailer to prove it. Now before you dump all over me remember when your digging into that dirt pile that the ultimate goal is have that bucket heapin' good when you back away, it must be that macho thing. Something to do with power must overide comment sense sometimes. Now base your decision on a lot of comments you may read on this wonderful site and try and relate what would most likely fit your tasks for the loading or not of tires.
