I have a 2320 tractor. Where the exhaust comes out along the frame the the exhaust shoots strait ahead. All fine and dandy until you put a yellow snowblower out front. Then the whole back of the blower gets all black. Has any one on here come up with a short elbow or some thing to divert the exhaust out the side? I tried one that was about 6" long but after about a year it cracked the tractor exhaust from the vibration and whipping if you want to call it that. I think it would have to be a real short elbow. Any thoughts.

I had my local muffler shop make me a three inch stainless elbow bend, and now no soot on the cowling or on the inside of the pretty yellow wheel. I agree, this drives me nuts, too. The direct injected tractors are even worse as they produce more soot. My 3720 would cover the right lower hood cowling requiring a wipe off almost every time.

I've been looking for a muffler shop. They're few and far between. The mufflers last too long on cars any more.

That's why the major chains like Midas had to convert to mainly doing work on other things like brakes. You don't hear much about their mufflers now in their ads.
