I have a LandPride Cat-II Quick Hitch (
Land Pride Quick Hitches ).
The webpage is a little misleading with the Category, however the QH15 is Cat-I and the QH20 is Cat-II.
I think it is a fine quick hitch, however here are four reasons why mine just sits in the garage and has never been used after I first tried it out:
My implements are on dolly because of lack of garage space. This makes hooking up implements real easy.
By design, you cannot get the same amount of "float" with the top-link connection. In mowing situations, this causes problems. I bent my top support brackets on my mower because the tail-wheel needed to come up but the quick-hitch maxed out its range of motion way too soon. (There is a floating top link kit you have to buy (which I have) in order to have ANY toplink movement, however its range of motion is too little.)
I have three implements: Mower (Cat-I / Cat-II); Grading Scraper (Cat-II); Ballast Box (can be setup for Cat-I or Cat-II before filling with concrete, after that you can't change it easily). The QH does not work with the Ballast Box... and that is the only implement that is hard (not really hard, just harder than the others) to hook up.
My lower links easliy telescope and swing. Hooking up really isn't that hard.
I will sell my QH to whomever wants it. Haven't found anyone close by that wants it yet.
