Kubota BX2380/LA344 loader/60" MMM, Bobcat S185 skid steer, JD X394 4 wheel steer mower
In the midst of adding a Washburn SSQA to an LA 403 loader on a B3030. Will also be buying a set of QA pallet forks.
Would shimming the hydraulics to slightly increase the pressure help to offset some of the capacity lost by the SSQA with bucket or forks being out front of the lift arms more than the stock pin on (non QA) setup? Not looking to spring a lift arm or otherwise damage loader or tractor.

You should get simple gauge setup, and see what your PRV (pressure relief valve) is currently set at now...Kubota has a history of them being low from the factory.

You can make one for about $35.00 or less, see my picture below. I have since replaced the 12" hose with a 36" hose to make it easier to use.

Of course you can always increase the pressure... But that's not really a great idea. Check the pressure you now have, It can be low for a few reasons, weak spring in relief valve, or oil viscosity shearing down, or initial setting low... See what you have and if it is at spec... try doing what you need done with it... If it is just marginal, you most likely will just get buy. If it is less than 'just marginal', you may be needing to consider a larger machine...

Just happened to be searching the site and stumbled upon a post from Feb. 2009 when I was shimming the JD 790 that I had at the time. Many posts there from both of us!
I did in fact make a gauge back then and it still sits in my tool box. Next step is to check the stock setting next time I have the tractor out of the barn.
If in fact it could use a boost, will this address the issue that I mention in the original post? I don't really want to max it out, but what does anyone recommend for reasonable PSI? If shimming does come into play, can someone chime in here with a Kubota part # for me? Much appreciated!
BTW, this is a low (65) hour tractor. I would hope that there are no worn springs, etc. in the valve. But of course there are never any guarantees.

Well good...so see what you have now and compare it to the specs.

Please post some pics of the process if you do have to adjust your pressure. I need to get off my dupa and buy a guage and check mine also.

If I got off the dupa I'd already have used my gauge. Hard to get much done when it gets dark so soon after work. The pellet stove, recliner and faithful golden retriever at the feet don't make it any easier. ;) Maybe when the QA stuff arrives from Washburn I'll kick things into gear a little quicker.
Looking at my shop manual, the relief valve appears to be just ahead of the right side (looking at tractor from rear) lift arm. It states that the relief valve setting pressure on a B3030 should be 2204 to 2306 psi at rated engine speed and oil temp at 122° F.
The setting is 1920 to 1991 psi on a 2620 if anyone with that model is following along.

Wouldn't you know it? Went out to check tonight and the quick connects aren't the same size as on my former tractor (JD790).
Local NAPA ordered the correct fitting to crimp onto the gauge hose and an extra female QC like is on the loader hydraulic lines to screw onto it. Will post when I get the pressure checked.

I thought that might be the case, JD uses Pioneer QD's, while Kubota does not. Shoulda stayed green:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

I wanted to stay green. But it seems to me that at the time (Feb. 2009) JD's smallest tractor with factory cab (3320?) was much more $$ than orange's 30 hp class tractor with factory cab. Oh well. The l'il fella does everything I've needed so far.
