No Log Pile

I finally stopped stacking the log lengths on the ground to cut up later. Now I'm cutting the ends on each side and finishing up the last few cuts right in the grapple, so I skip that whole miserable step of cutting in the pile. Everything that hits the ground is ready for the splitter.

It's much easier on the back as well. I bought and use my backhoe for that reason. :thumbsup: As I do have large trees it means large rounds so the backhoe works great for placing them on the splitter, another back breaking chore taken care of. :thumbsup:

I would love to put a thumb on the 455D for that very purpose. Too many other things demand my $$$ though.
