I just ordered a new BX1860 with a 48 in fine cut mmm and mulch kit, Front end loader, Disc Harrow, and Box Scrape. I priced against John Deere, but the 2305 only comes with a 54 in mower, and I have too many obstacles for that deck. The only drag is that it will take to the end of the month to get my new equipment here and completely assembled. I still think that it was a good deal to get all that with tax included for 14,700.00. Deere was much more :thumbsup

Congratulations on your new purchase, the BX1860 is a great little machine.

Make sure you post pics. I have never seen a BX1860 with 48" deck, and that is what I would need to due to fences, trees, etc. For my needs, I would get without FEL and add front snowblower. Philip.

We have a 2305 and have not been too impressed with it, it is being replaced next year with a different model. We got our second BX after using the 2305 for a few months.

Congratulations. The 1860 is one awesome machine. I loved mine.

Odd, a fine cut deck, eh? Those seem rather on the rare side around this forum. Any reason why you selected it? Just curious.

Good choice of tractors  The 48" deck would probably have matched my yard better than the 54" but the extra width does make it easier to trim around obstacles, as long as you can fit the deck where you need to mow. In any case, good luck with it, and your wait, and post up some pic's when it arrives.

I just ordered a new BX1860 with 54 fine cut mmm and a FEL for $11800. The dealer threw in a rear ballast and was welding 4 hooks to the fel. I too priced out a Deere and a comp was $17000, just too much money. Good luck with yours and post some pics when it gets home. Good luck.

Congrats on your choice. You will no doubt have a lot of questions and this is a great place to get the answers!

Congrats. I had the same issue with my NH and Kubota as you did with Kubota and JD. Price.

I've had a BX1860 with 48 fine cut deck and mulch kit for about 2 years. Its a fine machine and I am sure you will be happy with it. I also needed the 48" deck for a heavily landscaped yard and actually traded my BX2230 with 60" deck in on the 1860. I was not impressed with the mulch kit and took it off soon after using it.....hope you have better luck with it. My comparison though was with my old JD LX279 with a the Freedom dedicated mulching deck with counter rotating blades.....that was a mulching machine! For those that haven't seen a BX1860 with a 48 mmm, here are some pics:

I called today, My new Kubota is assembled with it's 48 inch MMM, Tires Filled, Box Scrape, and Disc Harrow are all ready. I am just waiting for the Front End Loader to arrive. Actually they are waiting on Loaders for 2 new 1860 tractors that they have sold. I guess that others are trying to take advantage of the 0 percent for 60 months.
