Will need to buy some hoses soon, never done this and have a question about lengths.

I'll be putting TnT on soon, and I'd like to have compact and neat hose routing without a bunch of slack to deal with, but I also don't want to end up with something so short I damage things with flexing.

So, for example, if I order a 36" long 1/4" hose with a 1/2" male QC on one end and a 90 degree 1/2" NPT male on the other, should the length specified include the overall length (connector face to connector face), the exposed rubber length not including the connectors, or what?

Are the outlets on JD's factory-supplied dual remote kit a standard size so that any popular brand of male QC will plug into them? If not, exactly what's needed to fit the tractor end of my TnT hoses?

Also, are CCM's TnT cylinders all 1/2" female in/out?

Hey picker
Kennyd told me about hose with reuseable fittings. I dealt with Discount Hydraulic Hose. Nice thing about that is making your own hoses.:)
Just a little info.

Here is my thread on them: Re-Usable Hydraulic Hose Fitting Tutorial - TractorByNet.com

JD uses Pioneer/Parker QD's, I think they are the 3/8" size for your size machine-but not 100% sure.

The CCM cylinders have BSPP ports, so you will need adapters.

Another vote for making your own. I used the reuseable fittings and hose from DHH when I installed my rear remotes and control valve as well as the lines from my hydraulic toplink. I really liked being able to route the hoses and make them the exact length I needed. Good luck.

Definately a good move. If you contact Ken at DHH, known here as Hydraulic Hose Guy, he will hook you up. Ken knows his stuff.
