I have changed the fuel filters and fuel. When i start it up and give it more gas, it starts to run sluggish and is putting out white smoke. Is there something i'm missing? Is the pump going bad? Can anyone help.

Check your fuel line for an air leak or maybe an obstruction due to being pinched.

Thanks for the info. I have already taken all the fuel lines off and blow them out. All lines are good.

I blew the filter off and nothing didn't come off. Filter looked pretty clean. I have taken the main air line off to the air filter can and started it that way. Still nothing.

Check and see what kind of fuel flow you have from the tank. Been alot of problems with debris in the tank screen.

Thanks for the suggestion civesnedfield. I will check the tank out to see if there is any trash.

Easiest way to tell on mine is to remve the filter then open the shut off valve. If you have a weak fuel stream then the strainer is clogged.

Thanks civesnedfield. I pulled the main line off comming from the tank and the shut off valve. The shut off valve was pluged. Thanks again. you save me alot of money. I never hire anyone to work on any of my stuff.

I had a similar problem, it was a hidden filter not listed any were, it sites on top of the sediment bowl INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. It took me two years to find it.

No problem. Been there done that. Just do be careful not to run it too long if that happens again. Due to the lack of fuel going thru the injector pump, there is also a lack of lubrication, (Diesel fuel also acts as a lubricant) it is possible to damage the pump. No I didn't do that but I know of someone that it happened to. Let's just say every thing turned out ok after he bought a new injector pump. :(
