Ok my B26 was finally delivered, but without the hydraulic thumb. The dealer said the valve, needed to operate the thumb, was going to take another month to get. So he offered to deliver it now and pick up and redeliver it again when the parts come in. All at his expense. Nice guy.
Well the first day was interesting at best. The machine performed above and beyond what i had expected. Its like a little bull dog, with amazing ability. I dug up and moved rock that I didn't think would be possible with such a small TLB, but it did it without hesitation. One of the rocks was taller then the tractor hood, it had to be over 4 feet in diameter. Wow, I'm impressed.
I did have a problem though. I was using the backhoe and needed to move up a couple of feet. So while still in BH operating position, I reached around raised the loader and pushed down the foot pedal to move foward. Each time I did it the tractor wanted to stahl. I figured it was a safety switch that I have to figure out how to by-pass, but thats for another thread. When I went back to the backhoe, it was moving slower and slower, the more i used it, until it barely moved at all. I stopped working and was going to drive back to the house, but it wouldn't move. then the power steering stopped working. I shut it down. It must be the pump. About 2 hours later I tried it again and all was fine, what the ****, I guess its not the pump, but what then. The next morning the dealer sent his guy over. (See I told you he was a nice guy) While doing a full inspection, he found a kinked line. He said it could have been the problem, but it also could be something floating around in the hydraulic fluid. Hopefully, he said if thats the case, it will be caught in the filter.
I used it all day yesterday and today, without a problem. The only other thing I can think of was that when I was using the backhoe, I had it at full thottle. I thought it had to be at full in order to get full power out of the backhoe. I found out later that 2000 rpm was more than enough. If the fluid gets too hot, could the system overheat and shut down? Could I have done any damage? Any advice or input would be appreciated.
Thanks
