Looking at a 73 MF 135 diesel, fair condition, multi power and power steering, needs paint and seat, tires are starting to crack but seem ok

looking at paying 3800 CDN 2600 hrs on machine thoughts anyone??

I paid $3500 for a running 1964 MF135 diesel Deluxe with Multipower in Jul06. The grill was messed up, but otherwise it was OK.

Check that 73 out thoroughly, especially the multipower (be sure the MP is working in both ranges).

There's a small diameter weep hole in the bottom of the clutch housing. Take a piece of wire or a small dia twist drill and ream out the crud in that hole. Check for oil drops (a few drops is OK, a lot may mean that the rear main seal on the crankshaft is leaking--happens frequently on the Perkins diesel).
