I'm having a hard time getting insurance up here in Canada. You guys down south have the same issue? I was looking at 2 million liability with fire and theft but over half the insurance companies won't even look at it, or if they do the cost is outrageous. They are unsure of the concept of a mulcher. Any input or a push in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

look at listing yourself as landscaping or site work my insurance didnt know how to list it.
and I have been doing this 10 years. good luck

Unless it's different in Canada , 10 mill is the minimum .

10 Mill cover costs me under a grand here in OZ .

Holy crap you guys have to carry lots of insurance. I work as a consultant in the oil patch and 2 mil is the norm here. My insurance broker did call back and offer me a package deal for my consulting operation, pl, pd, fire and full replacement cost for the machine for $1900. The cost breakdown puts the machine at $ 1000/year.

That is a great idea! I never thought of it but I will approach them that way when I go to renew.
