King Kutter information needed

Looking for info on a king kutter 1260 rotary cutter a guy has one for sale and I have to travel to see it so just trying to do some homework. This is supposed to be a heavy duty model, anybody have any info or know a website to try.

what specifically are you trying to find out. there isn't much to a rotary cutter.

gearbox, deck, blade carrier, blades and tailwheel.

If you just want to know if King Kutter is a good machine.
they are pretty good units. I have used a few and never had a problem. the heavy ones are pretty hd.

I have a 5 foot King Kutter brush mower and would get another tomorrrow if I needed one. It does a great job and is heavy enoungh for general use.

I just want to confirm that thisis a HD unit, what HP gear box, is the frame made of heavier gage steel. I have some havy stuff to clear and need a strong unit.

I think the 60 in the model number 1260 stands for a 60hp gearbox. The standard gearbox is rated at 40hp. That might get you heavier metal as well but I am not sure. If the 12 is for steel gage then that's pretty standard. 10 or 8 would be considered HD.

EverythingAttachments sells king cutters and has a bunch of info on them as well as prices that way you can look up your model compare it to others and see if you are getting a good deal.

I have the 'regular' 40hp 5' king kutter mower and it's been a good mower for 10ys now.. plenty for pasture mowing and some thickets and the occasionaly ant mount and burried lumber discovery.
