Hi.
I have a 2002 B300 with a claimed 600 hrs that i just bought. It feels nice and tight. Problem is that it doesnt move very fast. Im pretty sure it is not doing the claimed 10mph on the flat. When i start going up hill the b300 slows right down, slower than walking speed and the hill is about a 3% grade on pavement. Not much of a hill really. The engine speed does not matter. I can throttle back and it does not make a difference in speed when climbing unless i slow the engine down too much. The machine is a single speed not a two speed.
I just bought some hydraulic gauges and I have the service manual but the pump on this unit does not look like the one in the book.
Also I was parked on a hill side digging a hole. Working the hoe pretty good. The oil was a bit hotter then when i drive it around. Pulled up the hoe and went to move forward and it would not move forward or backward. I turned it off. drank two beer and started it again. Drove as slow as it always does but it did move. I put the front bucket down and it pushed forward filling the bucket with soil.
Im stumped.
Thank you for your time.

Do you have a cable for moving the lever on VSP pump? It might be out of adjustment. Some of the VSP pumps are controlled by hyd foot pedal, or hand lever.

Double check that the fluid is correct as to type. Is the fluid level OK. Are the filters clean. Do you have a hyd gage test set.

My Case skid steer gives me a choice of Hy-Trans hyd fluid, or 10w-40 with a quart of Case additive. My Case trencher uses either Hy-Trans, or ATF.

as a former bobcat mechantic sell that thing as fast as you can, even if you have to take a loss. Sorry my opinion.
