Bx 2350 stalling on hill

Hi I have a bx2350 seems when it is warmed up and I'm making it work down hill in forward with fel. it wants to stall when I try to back up I thought it might be low on fuel but when I filled it I had to squeez 3 gal. in it. It did this befor so I changed both fuel filters thought I solved it but that was only about 6 hrs. ago. any ideas ? thanks

Look into the seat safety switches. Most likely you are leaning to compensate for the angle and coming off the seat safety switches. might need adjustment

i agree...this happens a lot in either direction when i let my wife drive it because she's so short. it did it to me when backing up a hill too. I learned that was the problem and try not to shift my weight too often. haven't had to make an adjustment...yet

happens to me EVERY time i mow the same spot in my yard with a hill driving downward. Try driving down your trouble spot and purposely push down with your butt on the seat and see if it stalls.

I used to have this happen once in while. Now I use the seat belt when mowing. It keeps me on the seat better.

I agree with the saefty switch issue. It is normally very sensitive.

Someone more recently made this same modification and posted pictures. I don't have time right now to hunt that thread down.

I found and removed one of the 2 "Z" shaped spring plates on the seat switch when I still had the old style seat. You did't mention if you had or not, but make sure you have the new style seat, it is shaped to better keep you from sliding forwards.
