Yanmar 1610 D
Hello all,

by the way I am home with a broken leg and there for i got a lot of time thinking to change the tyres(rims) on my YM 1610D.

First Question: Does someone know the ratio between front and rear axle?
Second: maybe there was someone who has changed them?

I am thinking of a pair 400/70 R20 (Trelleborg 404)or something like this for the rear, and if i know the ratio, some that fits for the front.

know the conversin kit from hoye traktor, but the outer dia from the rear tires is not enough, cause the tractor isnt that fast as well.

execuse my bad english, I am a german.

Bought today some Wheels for my 1610D. My projekt for spring 2010.
500/60x22,5" Trelleborg and some 15" for the front. I figured out the ratio between rear and front axle and hope with these tires it will be work.
Here are some pics from the first contact with the yanmar. The next i have to do is some adapters between axle and rim. enjoy it.

That tractor should be able to float across anything, including a lake. The steering might be interesting with the front tires that wide. :)

we will see, i think the steering to the left must be limited because of the steering rod. the other side i think will be clear. i will se it as soon the wheeladapters are ready.

Yea go to youtube and search 4 wheelers and ponds or 4 wheeler and snorkle and you will see some amazing stuff with some people with more $$ than brains to float an $8000 4wheeler under water in a pond.

A friend of mine is a physical engineer, and yesterday evening when he have seen the tires he was kidding me about swimming with the tractor on our lake.

just let me mount the wheels to the tractor and maybe then me and my tractor test to deep water.

today i was at the ironshop and ordered some lasercutted adapters. maybe next week they will be milled, turned and drilled the work will go on.

after the wheels are mounted i will place the yanmar beside one of those and then you can decide which of them is more nice: the red or the green ones;)

Hey Verleih-Nix,

What is the brand/model and specifications of those front tires?

I've seen some pictures of tires with that tread pattern mounted on the *back* of small Yanmars occasionally in the U.S., (maybe a bit bigger dia) but i could never figure out who makes the tires. But several pictures from different US owners makes me think they may have been a somewhat common set up here (or even an option from Yanmar?). Looks like it might be a really good tire for multi-purpose turf/grip applications.

(If anyone else has info on this, please chime in too)..

Hey oldgrayfellow,

here is your info:

Trelleborg 31x15.50-15 8 PR Supreme Trac 412

Rolling circumference (mm)=2340
Diameter (mm)=788
Section width (mm)=398

the website:Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas

hope that helps. they also have a onlineshop for the US, i think.
