Yanmar YM2500
Hello,

Does anyone know which Yanmar 4x4 tractor has the best parts availability? I'm not talking about the smaller tractors. I'm refering to something in the size of the YM2820D, YM3110D, YM3810D, etc... I'm just not certain which one I would want.

I'm thinking seriously about selling my Massey Ferguson 231 (2wd, no front end loader) and buying one of these tractors with a Koyker front end loader. This would be my first 4x4 tractor and my first tractor with a front end loader, but not my first Yanmar.

Thanks.

The YM3110D.

Thanks.

Do you know exactly what hp the 3110D is? I'm reading on different sites that it is 33 hp, 35 hp, or 37 hp. So which is it? Also, what is the closest John Deere or U.S. Yanmar to the 3110D?

Thanks for the help.

Travis,

On the 3110D PTO HP would be 31 HP. Engine HP will be higher than this 34-35 HP. Of course the "10" denotes power shift and the "D" four wheel drive. You'll like the power shift. I have it on my 1610D and it works real well with the FEL

Or 26.98 PTO HP and about 34-35 Engine HP.

Oh ok. Well that tractor may be just alittle small for me then. Do you know where there are any good pictures on the internet of the 3110D with a FEL? What would be the next size up from this model?

Thanks,
Travis

Man thats a good pic. Looks like the 3810D. That may be more in the size of what I'm looking for. But if the parts availability isn't as good as the 3110D, then...(??)

Do you think the 3110D or the 3810D equipped with a FEL will "pull" as much as my 2wd Massey 231?

Is the tractor in the pic for sale?

Kenmac,

You have the 3110D? If so, how do you like it and how long have you had it?

Yeah man I hear that. Those loaders are extremely nice. My Massey has served me very well. No doubt whoever buys it will be getting a worry free dependable tractor.
But, for me it's time to upgrade. I've been thinking of a 4x4 tractor with FEL for quite sometime now. I just have to be certain on the one I want. I don't wanna over do it, but I don't want too small of one either. I've been through many tractors over the years and have honestly learned quite alot.

My biggest 3 implements are a 5.5' box blade, a 6.6' disk harrow, and a 5' Bush Hog model 285 rotary cutter, which is a very stout medium duty cutter. I'm not selling any implements, except the boom pole because I'll have a FEL on the Yanmar. Whatever Yannie I get, it will have to handle my implements...

Hi Travis
I would chack out /fredricksequipment.com in AL. We bought a ym2500 30 hp. from them this year and very pleased. They have a 3110 availabe 37hp look under Tractors, current inv. and they also list the prices. I own a YM 2000 myself and are very familiar with Mf. If you like it you will love the Yanmar.
Went back and looked again they are rating it 37hp. I bet what Ken Says Of 31 hp is at the pto.

Hello carey,

I owned a YM2000 and a YM2500 also. Long story short, both were too small for what I needed/wanted at the time, but they were very nice tractors. My YM2500 did come from Fredricks, even though that is not whom I directly purchased it from.

Like the YM2500 I had, I'll be purchasing this Yanmar from a UTDA certified dealer as well. I do know that for certain. I already have a few in mind, I just have to decide on a model. I'm taking my time on this one. I'm not 'jumping into it' like I have on all my other tractor purchases.

I am not so sure about all the UTDA?? Or that it means that much in the quality of the tractor. But do Recommend It having ROP's on it for your intentions with it loader etc. I actually bought my ym2000 from a UTDA cert. dealer with no rop's on it and it's been the best of them all.:confused2:

What models has the shuttle shift up by the steering column? I think those would be the ones I'm interested in- if they have good parts availability.

If one can base it on the YM240 and YM2000, ( same 2tr20 engine), the YM3110 would have 37.2 engine hp, (31 + 20%).
