Additional uses for log splitter,

I got a farm magazine to day and it has a section where they print ideas that can be useful around the farm,

any way for some reason I never thought of multi uses for a log splitter,

one of the ideas was where some one made a head for there log splitter for bending re bar for a project,

and that got me thinking pipe bender, or tubing bender with some type of head, even a horizontal press.

could a oil seed press be made?
or some type of peltizing machine head be made for it?
Oil filter crusher?

and thoughts what other ideas or things have you used or made for attachments, for a splitter,

tire crusher. crush, turn 1/4 turn repeat then the rim falls out of the tire.

I've used mine to break tire beads and bend diamond plate for trailer fenders.

I used to recycle cans. I envisioned some heavy plates and a way to crush shovel fulls of them But never made it past that stage.

When I made my splitter I made a adapter a few weeks later to use as a shop press.

You can see it sitting on the splitter. Just pull the pin, tilt the cylinder, remove the wedge, install the press adapter.

Since SOME PEOPLE are coming down on water boarding terrorists to get info that might save lives, how about .......... naw that won't ever fly, but it was fun to think about.

At one time I was going to fab up a fixture so I could compress the springs on my struts. Had used the store bought hook on a threaded rod type before but was just a major pain. Ended up bringing them to a garage to have it done for $10 a piece instead. Still, I think it would work fine, just need to design it so the spring is captured and can't go BOINNNNGGGG!

I have a small electric splitter and am amazed how well it works-
I have considered using it like a hydropress used for aircraft parts (I'm an ex-Boeing guy)
using a male (or female) mold on one side of sheet metal and thick rubber on the other to deform complex parts shaped like ashtrays or antique tailights. The male mold can be made from masonite-or even a hard wood, the rubber from multiple layers of innertubing.
