l3400 3410 3450 differences

May have my smaller "B" series sold. My wife uses a L3410 at the nursery she works at. She really like it. It is HST, but has aftermarket loader. I have also been eyeing NH TC35/15xx series tractors.

What is the primary difference between the L3400, L3410, and L3450?

I primarily am looking at ~35hp, as compared to the 19hp of my B8200. Want the larger size than the B series, want HST, and 4x4. Really want to spin a 5' or 6' rotary mower. If it does not have it, will want to add TnT to whatever tractor I get.

I don't know what the exact differences are, but I can tell you that a 3400 will have no problems with a 5 foot rotary cutter. Mine has a couple more HP at the PTO than an HST machine.

Ive run a 6'kk on my L3400 with no problems, Mine is A HST

These three are very similar in power and weight. The L3450 has a 2-speed pto which the others don't have. The L3450 is a gear tractor only (no GST or HST) but did have a mechanical shuttle. - It can also also have some nifty optional stuff like creep gear, dual disk clutch (independant pto). Once I used my neighbor's L3450 with a 90" Woods finish mower - which it managed ok taking it easy. Six foot light-duty attachments will work on all of these. Good luck.

This will be a jump up from my B8200; a mid 1985 version. I have HST, TnT, loader, and 4x4. The B8200 is a great tractor, on the larger sturdier version of the "B" series chassis. But it is really under powered with a 19hp motor.

I have used GST on a L35 that I rented a few times(L35 with hoe). We really like the HST though. And, my wife is already used to driving the L3410HST at the nursery. She really wants to stay with HST.

I have driven the B8200, and it had no power steering. Some did, but
most don't. You will really appreciate the PS.

Those 3 tractors don't really compare well. The L3450 is from the mid
90s, and I have have not seen it with HST, but I have seen it with GST.
The L3400 is a current model, but a "budget" tractor with less features,
and several hundred # less weight than an early Grand L like the
L3410. The L3410 was replaced by the L3430, then the L3240.

You will love any of these Grand Ls with HST, Robert.

Robert I had a B8200 from about 1986-1989. A few months ago I picked up a L3400HST. Other than they both have 4 wheels there is a light year difference. I always felt the B8200 was underpowered. Power steering is a major improvement and things that I didn't have then like a quick attach bucket are awesome. I find the 3400 to be twice the machine without being unduly large for me.

Ya, I am still surprised they put that small of a motor in the B8200, for the chassis size. Funny thing is, I never hear about B9200's with their bigger motor.

I have used a number of skidsteers and compact track loaders. I definitely appreciate a quick attach bucket system If we do get a L3400/TC1520 sized machine, eventually it will have quick attach, and a clamshell bucket.

I always felt the B8200 was underpowered. Power steering is a major improvement and things that I didn't have then like a quick attach bucket are awesome. I find the 3400 to be twice the machine without being unduly large for me.
