LK3054 Hydraulic sight window

Hi all,

I have always had a slow drip from the hydraulic sight window on my LK. It has got worse recently and I am tired of keeping cardboard under it.

Does any one have any experience with resealing these?

The seal is worn out, buy a new one they are only a few bucks. It pulls out with a small pick.

Is it an O ring type seal? something I can get at a hardware store or will it be a dealer item?

I pried it out, coated it with permatex and pushed it back in. We'll see if it works....

short money to keep oil where it belongs

would hate to have permatex floating into valve body

Excellent point. You have no idea how many times I have picked that stuff out of solenoid valves, check valves, and relief valves. Don't use that stuff on your hydraulic system.

Too late now....

I tried to keep the permatex more towards the front of the window. We'll see how it works.
