John Deere 48 backhoe

Hi,
I need some info on the Weldment Adaptor Plate on a JD 48 backhoe. I know there are 2 sizes. Large frame and medium frame. What is the difference in the 2 sizes ? Is it possible to take the large frame plate and modify if to the medium size ? Has anyone made this modification? I need a medium size ,all I can find is the large frame. To buy new is very expensive. I would even trade someone a large frame plate for a medium plate.

I took some pics of my Back hoe, when you asked before, forgot to post them, but I couldn't tell what you were looking for, can't tell where that would/could come apart.

Yes, that is what I need. I was wondering if I could simpley modify the larger frame mount . I bet the only difference in the two is the distance between the mounting pins.

Get the specs from john deere, or I could take some measurements if needed, it probably is the spacing of those hangers and pins, it would be alot of work but you could maybe cut all that stuff off the back of the plate and put it back together.

Hope you get the BH cheap enough to make it worthwhile.

New the 48 back hoe was ~ $8,000.
