I happened to look at the fan after taking my skid plate off and noticed it seems slightly loose on the drive shaft. Checked the 4 fan bolts and the 2 split half bolts and they all are tight. It seems to be wiggle on the drive shaft or spline. Any one help me on this? Oh, the fan blades are in good shape.

Funny you bring this up, I notice the same thing yesterday on mine and was asking myself the same question. Was going to bring it up on tbn but you beat me to it.:) I tried the same thing, bolts are nice and tight. Going to my dealer tomorrow, will ask him.

Henri,
Let me know what he has to say. When I get near another 2305, I'm gonna climb underneath and give the fan a shake. Maybe that's how they make them.

Hey Wild Bill! Got back from the dealer last night. Check the tranny fan on two new 2305 and both fan were tight. Spoke to the service manager, he told me it was normal after a few hours of operation that they would come a little loose on the spline. He said that we had nothing to worry. Nevertheless, I'm going to keep an eye on mine.;)

Henri,
Thank you for looking. A friend also has a 2305 and he is going to look at his. It's about 3 months old.
Have a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year if I don't talk to you before they pass us by.

My 2305 is nearly 4 years old with 287 hours on it. The fan is tight as a drum skin.

Wild Bill, what year is yours, mine is a 2008. I wonder if they have change the design since 4 years ago.

I had a 2008 and the fan was tight. I would get yours checked out. On a different note, I hate those fans. I had to change mine every other month because a small limb would catch it just right and off I went to the JD dealer and order one. I got were I ordered a spare to save a trip. I put a shield around the last one but I traded it in before I could see how it worked out.

Maybe the reason the fan was tight on yours, is because you had to change it more than once. Never really had enough hours to get loose maybe. I've got 150 hrs on mine. Wild Bill, how many hrs on yours?
