F150 Gas Milage

'07, s/c, 4x4, auto, 3.73 limited slip, 5.4 v8, very consistant 15.5 mpg.

No its not great off the line you have to be slow with it, but hey its a heavy truck and its old so im not hotrodding it anyhow just takes me longer to get up to speed. It has no lowend. I bought it with the front addaleaf so it was that tall with new tires on it. I want to get 3.73's but kind of shyed away when i saw the price of gears

Same as my 07 I just sold in may. I posted the same numbers in post #7.

I have all of the fuel data for my 05 Dodge in a spread sheet if anyone is interested. It has the Cummins and its a 6-speed manual, all stock. Towing and hiway and round town all combined pretty much has been 16.5 every year I have owned it.

Does anyone pay much attention to the computerized MPG calculation?

My 2008 F-150, 5.4, 3.73 gears, 4wd, 4 door all stock with about 14,000 miles, always runs about 14 - 14.5 on average according to the computer. I don't drive real hard nor real easy.

Just wondering what someone else's was saying.

My experience with the 3 or 4 F-150's I have had with the fuel computer was they were accurate withing .2 or .3 mpg over a tank of fuel. So for all practical purposes they were dead on accurate. Me and my neighbor had the same truck, same year, ect F-150 and mine always got 15.5 while his would only do 14. I guess its just driving habits.
