I need some help. Over the weekend I read through or dreamed I read through a thread that presented a very detailed account of installing a 3 port 12 volt selector valve. It was from Surplus Center and was originally a CAT part. The Surplus Center part number appears to be 9-6865 in their catalog and is no longer on the site because they have sold out. The article was full of pictures and was a very deluxe install. I thought it was user 3RRL that did the project, but when looking at the work he has done on his and his wife's tractors it appears all of his work has been with sectional valves not selector valves.

Anyway, I have searched ten ways from Sunday trying to find this specific thread mainly because of the clamps the installer used to secure the hoses along the path up the loader arm. They are plastic or something similar two piece units with a bolt through the middle and a hole on each side for holding the hoses. I want to find the part # and source of those specific clamps since they will piggyback on top of the JD original 4 hole clamps.

Have I truly lost my mind and just imagined the thread or what? Rob, (3RRL) responded to an email and linked me to his threads, which I had read through a couple of times, but as best I can tell his projects had triple manual control sectional valves not electrically controlled selector valves that changes circuits for a single sectional valve to control.

Any help will be muchly appreciated.

Yea, I did, but it is growing back. I grew the beard to look old, I guess it worked.

I think I remember that...possibly even responded:confused: But are THESE the clamps you are looking for?

I don't know about old, but it was sure distinctive. If it wasn't for your familiar signature (when I works....) I don't think I would have recognized you.

I kind of liked the beard & hat.

Maybe I was just used to it. I keep telling my wife that I am never going get another haircut or shave for the rest of my life.

Well guess then the answer to my question was is that really him is true. JJ, there is an older now fully retired football coach who lives here you two look enough alike to be at least friends..maybe closer than that. His last name is Sasser. Conway SC.

Nope, those are the weld on type. Same ones J_J linked to.

J_J, I clicked on the link in your followup post to me and got a "sorry" message from the search.

I did a search and came up with several post. So do a search on this number

9-6865 Put that number in the search window on TBN.

I have tried that method and come up with 4 threads,

this current one titled: Help--I'm loosing my mind

next one titled: New power beyond valve versus hydraulic selector valve

another titled: Help with triple selector valve

and lastly: JD SCV Extra Ports Question

That's all I'm getting in my searches and not a single one details mounting the valve behind the right side of the seat, discusses working out the switching of the three solenoids to function as desired and shows all the plumbing, the thread I am talking about was something close to 10 pages long and had many posts from the installer with various pictures and descriptions of the steps involved. The thread was started by the installer and I recall that one of the posts showed a bunch of hoses and fittings laid out with a comment about it being amazing how many parts and fittings the install was taking and that the items in the photo was not all of it.

I just am at a loss to explain why I have not been able to find the specific thread again, very frustrating.
