Has anyone ever thought of making a skid plate that would mount to the mower links? Then you could swap it out when the mower wasn't on. In use you would just lock the plate up to the top position.

The product was not a tractor or Kubota related but the engineering response to the problems experienced was user, "Subjected Equipment to an Environment That Exceeded Anticipated Usage at Time of Design and Manufacture".
