I'm tired of handling my tanks by hand when i need to use them.... I like to do my cutting outside of the garage in the warm weather, and when i need them i have to drag them out by hand.

Has anyone built a cart for their tanks ?

Any pictures would be nice if you have them...:D

Thanks!

I dont have a picture, but I designed and built one for my brother about 20 years ago and it was made not only to role but could be hooked to a 3 point hitch. That way a tractor could take it anywhere he needed it.

What size are your tanks? I bought a cheap hand truck from TSC (with pnuematic wheels), welded a couple of hooks on it (for a safety chain), made a removeable hanger for the hose and I was all set. It's easy to move it to were I need it, and if I need the hand truck for anything else, everything can be removed easily. I don't have any pictures handy, but I'm sure you get the idea. I think the hand truck cost around $30, total cost was maybe $35.

That is what I did for my small tanks...a cheapo hand truck-but a had some 3/16" round bar that I bent to make a cage around the tanks instead of using chain.

Harbor Freight sells them pretty cheap.

I built myself a welding cart that carries my OA and both welders. I like having all my welding stuff all in one. OA and shield gas on Bottles on the back and welders on the front.

It works good, but if it was going outside id put pneumatic casters on it instead of urethane.

Sorry for bad pic but its the only one i got.

My O-Tank is 4ft. & the A-Tank is 3ft.

I had thought about using the hand truck before.... But since the O-Tank is heavier, will it make the 2-wheel lean to one side & make it hard to push or pull, especially on the ground or gravel ?

If you sit the 2-wheel up with the tanks on it, will it want to tip to one side ?

I'll buy one and fix it up.... I thought about making the wheel span wider, and underneath the plate of the 2-wheel, i thought about adding a piece of metal so it won't tip all the way forward.

Very interesting Scooby with all of them together.

How tall are your tanks ?

Thanks for all the suggestions!

A hand truck will work fine. I have the same size tanks as yours and have used a hand truck to move them for about 20 years with no problem.

I have not had trouble with tipping, but my tanks are half the size. Midsouth says his are fine:D

:D

What i was wanting to do is leave both tanks on the 2-wheel.... That's why i was wondering if the O-tank is on one side, if it would make it lean or tip forward.
