On my B7800 the HST pedal is not returning to neutral properly when I remove my foot. This just started recently and has the effect of keeping moving when I remove my foot as well as making it difficult to start as I have to move the pedal to get it to the right place hit the saftey switch. Is this just a lube issue or is their some adjustment that needs to be done? Any ideas?

Most definitely lube it and try it first before assuming it is something else.

This is a common issue with the B7800. I had one for 3 years and with me it caused the tractor to not start. I thought it was the seat safety switch. After different B7800 owners mentioned the issue the conclusion is always rock the pedal to make sure it's centered if it won't start. That fixed it for me. There is a grease fitting on the pedal I believe but I don't know if there was ever a "fix" determined other than rock the pedal. Maybe someone else will remember if a fix was discovered and will respond.

I recently had the same issue with my B7800. Look under the hydro peddle and you will see a rod that goes to a rubber boot. When you press on the peddle you should see a small steel cylinder that moves in and out of the rubber boot, that was where my problem was. Now the time consuming expensive part. You will need a can of WD-40 or an equivelant. Spray the steel cylinder with the WD-40 and press the peddle, do this a couple of time and your issue will probably be resolved, atleast it worked for me. I think the cylinder binds up on the ruber boot causing the safety switch not to engage.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck,
Piper

Check Post "B7510 won't Start" On that post there is a picture of the boot and you can see the steel cylinder that needs to be sprayed. It looks similar to B7800.

Thanks for your comments. I'll try lubing it up.
