No I didn't try any hydraulic shops. I just went to the Case dealer where they had a hand pump to test my relief valve, they had the new valve in stock so I just bought it. I didn't know those relief valves were commonly interchangeable with universal type parts.

Some parts are, what is called prioritized, and are usually expensive. They are mad specific to a unit. How ever if you know the function of the unit, you can get around that. In your case, I would have put a relief valve up stream of the divider, and maybe plugged the relief valve hole on the manifold block. Now if the relief was only relieving one part of the dividing circuit, then you could put the relief valve after the divider valve, so as to give relief to only part of the circuit. There is usually a way around most things, but the constraints are, time, money, and know how.

Here in Jacksonville, Fl, within say 10 mi, we have about 10 hydraulic vender's, and also have all the tractor distributors, and of course, there is the Internet.
