I have a Satoh S650G Bison that bogs down everytime I try to cut the grass. I use a 5' King Kutter (brand new, and greased up good). The tractor runs good but spits and sputters a little so I changed the plugs, but that did not help. It will also only run if it is fully choked. I put fresh gas in and made sure there was no water in the tank. I also put on a new inline fuel filter.

Any suggestions as to why it bogs down and why it will only run when fully choked?

Somewhere in the delivery system of the fuel. Carburetor may need a rebuild. By choking it, you're causing more fuel to be pulled into the carburetor, but could also be that the fuel/air ration needs to be adjusted. You should have some adjustable jets on the carb that can be adjusted. I don't know that model, but maybe someone you know can help you out.
How many HP does that model have? It's possible that it's bogging down because the 5 ft mower is too large for the HP. Take a smaller bite and see if that helps. If it's at least 25 HP, you shouldn't be having that problem

I had a 650G years ago and frequently used a 5' hog behind it. Never really had any problems. The governer should be quite capable of increasing the RPMs, assuming it's working correctly. There's a little adjustable bolt on the end of the arm to make it more or less sensitive if not. HOWEVER, it sounds to me as if this one has major carburator problems. First thing I'd do is a rebuild. Check on the Mitsubishi/Satoh forum for suggestions on suppliers.

help please.
I have an S650G with the same problem "will run well only with choke fully engaged"
I've had the carburetor apart and cleaned it out and have even installed an electric fuel pump.
I'm totally stumped and I know it's something simple.
I've had this tractor for 26 years and it's never had any issued that couldn't be fixed easilly, but this one is driving me nuts.

any suggestions?

DISREGARD ABOVE POST, GOT IT FIXED.
I took the carb apart and cleaned everything.
Nothing appeared to be in need of a cleaning but after cleaning everything and hoping that I did some good, it ran like it did 26 years ago.

most of the time when yoy have to choke the carburetor.the problem is in the high speed jets.there is either varnish or some kind of obstruction in that jet.the only way to fix is to take it apart and clean it out .and re adjust for optimum performance.
