Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of the KingKutter line of tillers? What is/are your opinion(s) of this brand? Can the 2210 handle the 48" KK?

King Kutter tillers are awesome!!! Got mine in 03 and never had any problems. When I bought my 5', I had a 2210. It would pull it but worked the daylights outta it. I wouldnt recommend a 5' for a 2210/2305 tractor, but the 4' would work great. The only downfall to the King Kutters is the paint quality. Mines stored inside when not used and mine still looks new.

Thank you for your input. Yeah, I've heard that about the paint on KK, but if all else is solid, I suppose I can live with that. Also, like you, I'd plan on storing it indoors; based on your experience, sounds like this is enough to preserve it. It is just not one I suppose can be left in a field or otherwise outdoors year round. So, the paint on all but your tines and rotor (I'm assuming that's worn) looks good?
One other question, the KK line has offset capability, yes? As you know the 2210 is 48" wide and the 48" KK has a working width of something like 45" I've gotta be able to cover those tracks.

The engines is only 15 HP but it delivers enough PTO power to run the tiller with power to spare.
Picked up a KK 48" today. Still have not taken it to the soil because I am busy sizing the PTO shaft, etc.
Question re slip clutch:
As it should, the PTO shaft includes a slip clutch with the dealer said was "factory set" so as to stop damage to the tiller. However, I'm obviously concerned about the tractor end as well. Anybody have a good method of making sure you slip clutch is properly set. Is it juts a question of loosening the spring bolts to the point that there is noted slippage and then tightening in small increments until you can get the job done with little or no slippage at the slip cluthc, or is there some more methodical approach to this such as torque readings on a torque wrench, etc.? I want to start off knowing that the clutch plates are not frozen and that they have to ability to slip, yes? Please advise on this.
