what is an ISO platform?

I saw this as a part of the description of a 5520, not sure what that means. Can anyone help me understand?

Not so much as related to conforming to any ISO standard. But referring to an operator's platform that is a flat deck and isolated from the rest of the chassis by way of rubber mounting blocks similar to what a full cab would have. The other choice would be a similar model having the operator straddle the transmission in the seated position.

Ok what is /does ISO mean/stand for? I wish that there was a key. And how about horse power or some other information about your tractor beyond the model numbers. I am always wondering or searching the web to figure out what sort of scale is being talked about. Wish that all tractors were as clear as my TC35A. A 35HP tractor. New Holland has relabeled it again, I don't even know what the new label is.

ISO = International Standards Organization. A group whose purpose is to define manufacturing or other standards which, when referred to in product advertising or labelling, must be adhered to.

The JD 5520 is a 75 PTO HP tractor (90+ engine HP).

ISO can mean many things, but I think in the context of the question it is an abbreviation:

ISO. = Isolated

ISO Platform = Isolated Platform, which was described earlier.

Less vibration reaches the operator on an isolated platform compared to a hard mounted or non-isolated one.

RickB is correct. It is an Isolated Platform which gives the operator a smoother ride and a clear deck for his feet. If I remember, it was an $800 option back in 2002.
