Has anyone found a place that sells replacement wheels for a JD 2305. I have been looking around for a second set of rear wheels and have not had much success. Trying to save a few bucks over the JD OE's. I have sent heywheels.com an email to see if they have them but have not heard back. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When I purchased the tractor I bought it with Turf Tires, I need a bit more traction when playing in the dirt so I have purchased a set of R4's so I can swap them out when I need to.

Just mount up the R4s and be done with it, you'll never use the turfs again.

I just purchased a used 2305 and I'm looking to go the other way - I like to replace my tires with Turf Tires. I live in central New Jersey, any chance of getting together?

R4s are pretty hard to beat for all around use.

If you are finding yourself in and out of conditions where you are needing R4's, I would stick with them. I think it would be not only time consuming but a pain to have to swap out treads every time your needs changed.

R1s beat them for me in my book.

If you go with 2 sets of tires you create more work
and more expenses needlessly.

R1s will tear up a yard in a hurry.

I have R1s on my 5525 and R4s on my 4520 for that exact reason. R4s are crap in wt black land. They ball up pretty bad.

It is a 2305 - R1s seem like a waste anyway. I bet it does not weigh enough to really take advantage of R1s. Turfs really suck for traction.

All around for that size tractor R4s is pretty hard to beat.

Also, I bet you only swap those wheels a couple times and then you will blow it off.

I have R4s on my 2210 (almost identical to the 2305) and have had no trouble with them tearing up the lawn. They are a good tire for this size machine and I agree with those who said just change them out. I doubt you'd go back to the turfs once you had them mounted.

I'm with ddivinia and KML. I have a 2305 with R4s, I mow about an acre around my house with no damage to the lawn, even with the loader on (I usually just remove the bucket). No traction problems with front mounted snowthrower. They do load up in wet clay mud when doing FEL work, but I can work in areas that I wouldn't try with turfs.
I would try the R4s, you may find that you don't need the turfs.
