Could someone snap a photo of the left side B7100 MMM connections? I have all the owners manual, for the B7100 and the 60" mower RC71-60B.

I can't make sense of the connections for the mower to raise/lower on the left side (as sitting in the tractor). There's more connections on this side and they aren't as intuitive. The owners manual was a bit ambiguous.

Gary, I can't take a picture as the tractor is no longer here but from memory on my B7100 There were three attachment points. Pins on the back on both sides and then the front lever connection. The back drag arms on the mower sub frame have to be be release from a pin to fall down. Hope this may be of help. :D

My biggest problem was always getting the short drive shaft on the mower and tractor splines.:D

See if these pictures will help. My mower was for a B2400, but I adapted to fit my B7100. I think the mounting brackets are the same.

that's not the issue, i have it all hooked up and used it last summer, i realize where all the attachment points are.

Pins on the back on both sides
this is the issue, the "pins" on the left side. there isn't just one pin/hole/bracket (the other side and front are easy and straight forward).

it's like a bunch of arms, links, holes, and pins back there to connect on that one side. since there are multiple items and the manual only uses words it's kind of ambiguous which ones it means.

i've played with a few arrangements and i just need to get it right and see how it goes.

As I recall, the inner arm on the right side crosses over and attaches to the left arm near the pin. The two are loosely held together with a shoulder bolt that allows a small amount of articulation. The snap pin from the deck only attaches to the left arm itself, not thru both.

WOW, thanks a bunch, that should do it. My B7100 manual sucks compared to that, it has no diagrams - just lots of confusing words that don't really distinguish between all the various rods, connections, bolts, holes, pins and stuff.

How hard was it to retrofit thhe B2400 mower to your B7100? I'm looking for another used mower for mine and a B2400 series is probably easier to find.

Will this help, it's a B7100 with an RC60 deck. Sorry it's covered in rubbish but do'n't always have enough time to clear it out.

If this isn't clear enough I will be where the tractor is next Tuesday and will have it clean by Wednesday so can email other photos. The setup looks completely original.

Jamie - wow that's even more interesting. i would indeed like a lower shot of that side and one of the other if you can.

It seems like mine is a different set up. I have a B7100 with 60" deck as well and the deck looks the same but mine isn't attached the same way. i don't have that long arm sticking out the side and attacked to the front of the mower deck. those front attachments aren't used on mine.

Does yours have a FEL or BH? (front end loader or back hoe, or any other attachments)? Maybe the mounting is different for those configurations?

More complicated...ah!!

I'll do that next week then Gary, it's no problem.

No there are no other attachments at all as it was set up only to mow lawns. In the UK FELs are not used as they appear to be in the US, guess nowhere near the acreage or the oportunity to create major projects on your land. The loaders are often used by people with horses here, but that's not so many. I would guess that maybe only 1 in 10 or 15 compacts have a loader here.

Until Monday I'm in the UK, but on Tuesday evening I'll be where the tractor is in France, it takes us a day to sort things out when we arrive so I'll try to get that done for you on Wednesday.

Gary, can you post a picture of your set up. Maybe someone will be familiar with what you have.:D
