Installing 400cx on 4320 - How hard is it?

   / Installing 400cx on 4320 - How hard is it? #11
I upgraded my 430 loader for a 300cx with a dealer in upstate NY on the Mass border I believe, I'll try and find there name. anyway they sent a guy down with a small trailer with the loader on it, the guy did the swap in about an hour and a half, they charged me very little for the install and drove all the way to CT to do it.

Does your tractor have a loader valve already or do you need that also? assuming you have the valve, installing the rear 3rd scv remotes is a little involved, see picture
Regarding the x vs cx, if the cx is self leveling it's a no brainer go with the cx.
My 300 cx is not self leveling and wish it was.

This is a link to the dealer, may be worth a call, they did better from 100 miles away than my local dealer 10 miles away, My local dealer didn't even want to consider a trade. Davis tractor is who I dealt with they have since merged with Hudson River tractor.

Good luck, JB.

JB4310, why isn't your loader self leveling? The CX designation is for self leveling.

Not on the 300CX....Only the 400CX Self Levels. The CX on the "300 Series" is just more lift capacity...

And here lies another question.. just like the previous question regarding the differences between the 400X vs 400CX. They look the same - save for the self-leveling arm across the top of the loader arms.

The 300X and the 300CX look the same, too. What's the difference?

Size of the cylinders....
Bigger cylinders on the 300CX = More lift capacity....

I think they more then look the same, minus the hydraulic Cylinders and decals, they ARE the same.

I'd think this is a dealer specific item....I see it no differently then purchasing any other kit (many of which are perfectly acceptable to be end user installed)
I've self installed the 3rd SCV, Rear Wiper, etc.. and the dealer has been very helpful. Deere forgot the 3rd scv decal for the console and my dealer ordered one up for me next day no charge...
Some people fight with a dealer on a Dealer Installed loader on things like leakdown, etc.. and other people get taken care of very well by their dealer.
Me...with my dealer, I'd have no qualms installing the loader myself.

:D How have you been Dave.

Does your dealer stock all the glass panels for the cab;)

Sorry, I could not resist....

I Been good....busy as all heck with work & snowblowing..but very good.

ROFL! Hey, I deserve to be ridden for that boo-boo...if it happens to you, I wouldnt post about it cause I'd do the same right back! :D

On a serious note, He doesnt stock ALL the glass....but he's mentioned he/they does stock the 2 lower pieces on the lower front of the cab....which is why my loader is gonna STAY on the tractor. :D

Its the simplest things that get you....and like I said in my original post, I knew better and felt it was the wrong way to do it, but I followed the instructions to the Tee and look what happened.
When putting the new rear window in I just "winged it" my way and it went in super easy.
