Hello, new member soon to be Kubota owner needs some help/advice. I have been shopping used Kubota's and have to decide between a used B2710 650HRS, HSD, 4WD, Mid/Rear PTO, Kubota Loader 60" Bucket in average condition for 10500.00 and a B7500 500HRS HSD, 4WD, Mid/Rear PTO, Woods Brand loader in mint condition for 8500.00 Now my biggest job I need a tractor to do is clear deep heavy snow, which I plan to use a rear blower/fel combo for. I work out of town 4-6 days a week and return home to clear anywhere from 1-5 foot of snow build-up. These tractors are at 2 different dealers, the dealer with the 2710 has offered me a used Puma 54" blower for 500.00 but I dont think its wide enough for the 2710 wheel width? I dont know anything on tractors but that a B7500 is 21hp vs 27hp for the 2710 is that a big enough deal for what I need to pay 2000 extra to get the 2710 or is there more plus'es to the 2710 over a 7500? Right now my gut feeling is to buy the B7500 then go back to the other dealer for the used 54" Puma blower to put on the B7500. Also in the summer I'll use it to mow 5-6 acres of flat golf course style lawn.

Get the B2710. Bigger tractor, more power. Will handle a 72" mower and has Position Control for 3PH.

Well guys after another month of shopping I ended up returning to get the B7500 model, it was the nicest condition of all I looked at and priced well. To me the biggest selling factor was also the dealer was great with answering questions and the entire sale process, plus being the closest shop to me it'll make future needs or servicing done there easier. I also opted to pay up extra for a new SMYTH brand blower vs the used one, so far it works excellent and we have had tons of snow this winter which it had no problems clearing paths in places that havent been touched since the first snowfall back in Oct. Now to buy some goodies for it, my 1st item will be a cab of some sort seems the winds always putting the snow in my face!

I also have the B-7500 and at the time I purchased it I was looking at a larger tractor, but ended up buying the 7500. As for a cab you might look into a weatherbrake and maybe a sunshade hook up. I purchased the Femco shade and weather break and then added plexiglas to the ROPS and it really cuts down the amount of blown snow plus I do get some heat off from the engine, not tee-shirt conditions, but certainly better than wearing a snowmobile suite and helmet!

check out Femco for Kubota: Femco, Inc.

Wayne, How much did you pay for your Femco? Whare did you buy it.

I'm really tired of getting snowed / rained on and I like your idea of the sunshade and weather brake combo... If I hit the lotto, I'd do an enclosed cab but that ain't gonna happen right now..:D

That is a lot of snow and the length of driveway makes a big difference. You will be good with the 7500. I have a 7510 and always had enough power. I know a guy with a bx23 and the blower kicks and he loves it.

Both are great machines. Bigger is usually better. As a former B7500 owner, i can tell you its a proven machine for kubota. My dealer sold a bunch of them, he told me they never returned with serious problems.
