I respectfully disagree. Last I knew John Deere is an American company and Kubota is a Japanese company. The difference is where the money eventually ends up.
We were a town of 120,000 in 1999, today we have about 65,000 thanks to the unions.

Owned by Fiat. They don't have much to do with the equipment other than holding the purse strings.
I for one don't see where being an "import" seals the deal where a tractor is of lesser quality or value. That applies to "the old days" as wel as now.
Seems like a lot of people here have resided themselves to the notion that we have a global economy. Well, we don't have a global economy, not exactly, not yet. We are getting pretty close though. Lord help us when we get there because you cannot have a truly global economy without a global government. If you do not understand this then you better pull yourself away from your NASCAR long enough to figure it out (or deal with the consequences if you don't).

Even when they were still "FORD", there were plants all over the globe. Ford prduced many a tractor in England. Lots of them were sold in the US that came from plants in Mexico.
