ASV PT100 w/pressurized cab

You have told us what OSHA said but what was ASV's reply? Any manufacturer who releases a new tractor is from it evolving from past models. ASV is not the only one making cab improvements. Cat has gone to a pressurized cab also.
Maybe there is a story behind the inspector being there in the first place...

ASV equipment can be safe. As you can see from the Robsters little adventure the cab maintained it's integrity. He will be the first to admit that he shoud have added the forestry door sooner but I am pretty sure he did put it on later. He can verify that.

Not to mention that seeing these pictures from time to time are a good reminder for all of us how dangerous our job is. so remember "A wise man learns from his mistakes, a very wise man learns from others mistakes."

That's easy to do, what's the big deal? Every compact loader operator should stand in the bucket at the top of its lift, do a little twist and notice what happens to the machine. VERY SQUAREY

In 2006 when I was starting my business I contacted Mako Forestry Mowing as to which equipment. He had ASV. So I started looking. I went by a Mustang dealer. Do you sell mulching heads? Well weve got one, a Magnum. We ordered it to put on our machine and realized our stock machine could not run the head without overheating. You need to call SUPERTRAK.*My ASV has air that has never worked more than a couple of days without needing work. The dust in the cab is terrible. That being said. I belive dealers were not prepared for the mulching boom. They were not aware of the problems resulting from the process. Is that a reason for a law suit? Not for me. BUT. OSHA has not fined me. I look forward to the day I can pay mine off and get the new one. Also I have flipped on the side sliding down hill twice.

Ax-Man this guy has gone way beyond a lawsuit against ASV. By attempting to get an OSHA investigation he is clearly trying to hurt the company seriously. I would suggest to anyone interested in his REAL motive do a Google search on his name. I think you will find a history of negative behavior. I will leave it to you guys to do your own homework. As for me, I do not like this guy. I do not like crybabies and I do not like people trying to use me and my friends (you guys) to get something they do not deserve!

CB. I'm not a fan of a law suit. I did not understand he approached OSHA, I thought they fined him .And I apoligize if it seemed I was taking sides. I'm not.
In my ramblings I ment the manufactures have learned and improved the machines for the harsh enviroment we work in. I'm 53 and have turned mine over twice so the ASV must also be safe.

Has anyone read his posts on lawnsites? Sounds like he got a axe to grind and is using Cal OSHA to do it. Not first time he has used a big gun to get his way if the goggle search is right.Ever wonder why things cost so much? I would rather fix the problem with the tractor then stir up a legal sh-t storm. Dust is a problem. The door is weak. Needs bigger bolts in the cab flange and maybe some reinforcing. Why make work for lawyers. Fix it and run it yourself then OHSA got nothing to do with it. Remember the guy in California who hurt himself on the job then sued himself for negligence and won true story.

No dude, I have not problem with you. You are included in the friends group. This guy is a crybaby with an ax to grind. It seems to me that he bought an old machine and wants a new one. Since ASV will not give it to him under his terms he is trying to harm the company.

Is there anyone on here (mulching or otherwise) running a non-ASV that has had success with the A/C?

Or is it just the ASVs?

cbturf- has your ftx140 had working A/C?

My 2006 ASV PT 100 had the AC work for about the first month, it has been in and out of the dealer(s) but still no AC. The cab does get warm but thankfully we are up North.
