Anyone have plans to self build a box blade? What sise will my Massey 165 handle. I live up north in British Columbia and to buy and ship one would cost too much. Thanks

It should easily handle a 7' blade. I do not have any plans but search the forums and I am sure you will find enough info to come up with your own design which is part of the satisfaction you get from being self-relient. An idea for the tub portion would be to use an old fashioned well pressure tank (large like the one I just scavenged from a demo job)with 4" box tubing with shank cut-outs (shanks you can buy) in it welded across the front. then tabs for the lower link arms welded to the box tubing, an a-frame made out off 3/8" x 3" flat stock for the center hitch, a brace back to the back in the center, buy a bolt-on cutting edge and re-inforce behind the tub for the cutting edge with more steel.

Or find a used one locally (as this will probably be cheaper).
