I have seen many chainsaw carriers on tractors on this website and decided to make one for myself. I never run the chainsaw without the tractor nearby since that is my mode of transportation when at home. I needed a more secure way of transporting the saw and once forgot and left it in my bucket and almost ran over it. I just constructed it using plywood and protected it with stain and spar urethane. I also added a strip of thick mudflap to the top where the spikes would be chaffing the wood. The hard part was finding a location that would protect the saw from getting bumped or smashed in the woods. I have tested it on a bumpy trail through the woods and it doesn't move at all. I made the slot tight for that reason.

I also attached photos of places I found to store my scrench, wedge, and 5lb hammer. Next I will find a place to permanently store the fuel and oil.

How do you keep the chainsaw so clean?

I only cut clean wood :)

Actually this saw is new this year. I have only put about 4 tanks through it so far.

jeje, Aren't you concerned that high mounting the hammer & toolbox on your ROPS will raise the center of gravity & cause an overturn situation ?Possibly if the hammer was on the other side ??

Sorry, just couldn't help myself today! :D Can't help but notice the level of finish on the saw holder, nice! MikeD74T

This works really well to hold my scrench and carb screw driver, just drilled another hole for the screwdriver. Tools fit tight and don't fall out even upside down and is always with the saw when needed. I like your saw holder, clever.

lots of good ideas....i need to do the same thing......every time i turn around, i need my saw, etc. and it seems like everything is spread out all over the place and 300 yards away.....

i just need to be able to mount my sthil weedeater with a blade somewhere but i think it's going to be a tough one..

Very well thought out. I see you have a PVC pipe mounted for the chains. I did the same thing on mine. cleaver idea about the hammer. I dont think i need a hammer there but i think i could modify your idea to hold other things back there. A weed whacker bracket perhaps ? :D spade shovel bracket? ;)

Nice job on the saw holder.. That saw is too clean to get and get dirty cutting wood now....
I like the scrench holder as well. Usually my scrench is in my Bib long skinny pocket. Then I paint the scrench a bright color because they blend in with the dirt and ground fairly well when left laying around..
PS: Baileys is my Candy store.. They have some great stuff.
