B6100 Kubota
Great Little Tractor, Strong Running
Model Year: 1986

I am very impressed with this little tractor. I bought it to remove snow from the driveway and street, since they don't seem to plow here in Spokane. I'm impressed with the quality of this machine. It's nothing like a lawn tractor, which I had been using with a snow thrower attachment. It's 4-wheel drive and has lots of power! It's built like a rock. I'm looking forward to putting it to a lot of use, just not sure what besides the snow removal for now. I wouldn't hesitate to get one of these.

Pros: Strong and sturdy with lots of power for small jobs
Cons: Only the back power take-off with a 3-point hitch is a drawback

B6100 Kubota
Roll Over Concern
Model Year: 1976

The B-6100 is a tough little tractor and very reliable. My one serious concern is that it seems top heavy. The slightest change in the land (even a hump in our driveway) will make it start to tip. I finally tipped it over this week hauling some dirt in my vineyard. The front end loader was low but it still went over and I jumped off without being hurt. It landed on its side.I may look for a larger compact tractor with more weight.I own several large Massey tractors, I just need a compact I feel safe on that replaces a wheel barrow. Nothing big.

Pros: Well made, dependable
Cons: Tips over easily

B6100 Kubota
Owner-Operator
Model Year: 1984

I have owned and operated this tractor since it was purchased new. The engine and transmission still work great. Both are original and never needed repair. It is the best little diesel tractor I have ever owned.

Pros: Great reliable tractor which fits into tight areas, efficient 3-cylinder diesel engine, category 1 hitch, good ground clearance, 4-wheel drive, light and easy to transport
Cons: No fuel or water temperature gauges, seat not adjustable

B6100 Kubota
Best Bang For My Bucks
Model Year: 1996

I purchased this tractor primarily to mow a 20 acre Christmas Tree Farm. It quickly let me know it was up to that task and much more. Anything I could do with a larger tractor, my Kubota would do as well. It is very reliable and as others have stated, it starts in the coldest of weather. It's size is great, it will go where others won't and get the job done. It has great power for such a small size! It is one tough little hombre. It handles well in steep territory while pulling a five foot Bush Hog brand finish mower. I've since plowed, logged, disked, maintained farm roads, installed food plots and anything else I wanted to do! I love my B6100 HST MFWD!!

Pros: Very versatile for size
Cons: No Tach

B6100 Kubota
Kubota B6100 4X4
Model Year: 1982

This is a great little tractor. Starts well in our cold Canadian climate. It is a bit light for some work though. The 3 point hitch is quite strong. I have a heavy duty 5 foot scraper blade on it. It has 6 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. Very easy on fuel. It doesn't have power steering, but it's very easy to steer.

Pros: very maneuverable, easy on fuel.
Cons: A bit light......I think I would prefer a hydro-static transmission over the geared model.

B6100 Kubota
Kubota B6100E; Kubota K-420 Tiller; Woods RM48 & RM 400
Model Year: 1977

This tractor has mowed 2+ acres for about 22 years using a Woods RM48 & RM 400. I didn't properly care for the RM48, the deck rusted out because of not cleaning the grass from below. Also not crazy about it hanging off the 3 point and the 2 trailing wheels. Sold it for parts. Replacement was/still is a Woods RM400 I found at a garage sale and price was more than right (haul away - no repairs except replace the blades!). I added full caster wheels to the front and it has done a great job since. Now mostly use a ZTR, much faster, but still use the RM400 when I want to be left alone for a few hours. The only tractor issue: loosing both brakes at different occasions because of the brake gears shearing. Otherwise it fits on the back of a pick-up and and has the features of the older tractors, sliding rear wheel track on axles, good ground clearance, etc. This 14HP Kubota, with tire fluid and tire chains has pulled a few 3/4 & 1 Ton Pick-ups out of the roadside ditch during a few winters. It also has given the edge to 2 empty tri-axles spinning wheels on wet grass and a slight slope, and you cannot make that up! Too bad not built in the U.S.A. but then as now, still the same issue. None this size made in the U.S.A. That's 34 years. We are all loosing out! The K-420 tiller (KUBOTA engineered this so well, they stopped making it. Probably because all that needs replacing are the tines and it is a fine piece of equipment). It has earned it's keep. Tines replacement = (28 - 14L & 14R cost went from $2.00 a piece to $10.00), but now no one seems to have them. They fit other tillers as well, and the manufacturer in Italy has discontinued production. If any one knows a supplier having these tines or knows of a sub. aside from buying a newer tiller, I would appreciate the info. Thanks in advance.

Pros: Great buy for the buck in1978.
Cons: Brake gears shearing.

B6100 Kubota
Kubota B6100 4WD
Model Year: 1984

I just bought my little Kubota. Looks in pretty good condition still after many years. It has relatively low hours. Previous owner was taking care fairly well. It looks cold starting has little wait time but otherwise run great. Will see real future performance and I will leg know pool.

Pros: Fairly easy to operate, looks like toy for someone who get used on larger tractors.
Cons: Little harder cold start.

B6100 Kubota
After All These Years
Model Year: 1980

I bought the B6100 in a deal for my house and land. It had just over 400 hours on it in 1992 and the previous owner had kept it outside uncovered. I cleaned it up, touched up the orange paint, and have been working it hard ever since: hogging felled timber, mowing pastures, grading, hauling citrus and firewood, disc and harrowing horse paddocks, pulling hay wagons, you name it. Just had a hydraulic pipe burst, but quick work with a welding torch and it's back in service. It's lost some compression over the years and I daydream about a new tractor now and then, but heck, this little workhorse is like one of the family.

Pros: Reliable to a fault; easy start, perfect for small acreage.
Cons: Difficult bolt placement to remove alternator and get at other parts for the DIYer.

My New B6100
Model Year: 1973

After reviewing my needs (wants) for a long time I got my B6100 in Sept 2011. After some initial trials I really love this litlle tractor. One of the best thing is the FEL. I have used it quite a lot since I bought it and I have spent time swapping parts. Next project will be change the wiring.

Pros: The power & traction for such a small beast.
Cons: The difficulty to get spare parts.

B6100 with FEL. Old, But Still Going.
Model Year: 1979

The tractor is 20 years old, but still works nicely. I have replaced fluids and filters. This was needed. 8 hydraulic hoses were swapped and one cylinder fixed. I had to put a tube in the tubeless tire. Nothing more. Motor works great, starts easy. The FEL is stong after fixing. To be done is new electric wiring. I am really impressed by the strength of the engine/drive line.

Pros: Size and power. It is really strong for it's size.
Cons: Tricky to turn in congested areas.

B6100 Kubota
My new B6100DT with Allied loader
Model Year: 1984

I just picked this tractor up a few days ago so I can't really comment on reliability. I wanted one tractor that could do all the chores..occasional loader work, mowing, snowblowing and grading the long driveway. I'm impressed by the traction and power of this little tractor, I've driven thru 10" of mud and water without spinning a tire. the controls on this tractor are very positive and give an impression of quality and precision. I've gone through most of the preventative maintenance schedule so I've gotten a feel of how the tractor is put together and am impressed so far. It's incredible what it can accomplish for a mere 14hp. Definitely a cool toy.

Pros: Capable for the size.
Cons: Can't have a loader and belly mower on at the same time.

Kubota B6100E
Model Year: 1981

It is a great little tractor now that I have used it a while. I purchased it with the need to fit it through a garden gate at home and trailer it to our property to mow and do trail maintenance. It was unfazed mowing some thick grass and small.

Pros: Reliability, bang for the buck, & mfg support.
Cons: Tiny cockpit; limited Cat 1 3pt.

B6100 Kubota
1983 Kubota B6100E
Model Year: 1983

Purchased new as something I always wanted. We have only a small residential lot with a very small garden. This tractor is used mainly as a “horse” to pull a trailer around the yard during leaf raking season and also to plow the garden once or twice during the year. It did not come with an hour meter so actual hours are unknown but must be very little for 26 years of use. It has always been stored in a covered shed and has never been out in the rain and, to me, looks almost like new. The PTO has never been used other than to exercise it occasionally by engaging it without any load. Nothing has ever been hooked up to the hydraulic system. Maintenance so far has been limited to replacing batteries, oil, filters, fuel caps, seat cover, and tightening the fan belt. It has been the most reliable piece of equipment I have ever owned and has never failed to start easily. Of course, it has led a pampered life and not been used as hard as it was made to be used but, never the less, it is a very well made machine that would have stood up to lots of difficult service – and probably still can. For years my only implements were a 5’ Woods rear blade and a Brinley plow that was used on an earlier Wheel Horse. Also, back then I filled the tires with a 50% anti-freeze mixture and added 100 lbs of bar bell weights to the front frame. Last year, I added a rear scoop and last week I added a used 48” Bush Hog box scraper. About 2 months ago I installed a Kubota ROP and a diesel model Tiny Tach which shows RPM and hours. That now reads 9 hours. The engine no -load max. rpm is 2950. The tractor’s accessories that I added are a rear light mounted on the right rear fender and a dash-mounted brake latch (to avoid bending over to latch the brakes).

Pros: Extremely reliable
Cons: Must bend over when seated to reach brake latch.

B6100 Kubota
B6100D-P
Model Year: 1983

Bought the tractor from a business acquaintance after looking for a project and an upgrade to MFWD. Spent a lot of blood sweat and tears ($) to build it back and fit it with a loader and subframe. Just completing those phases spring 2010. The 4x4 adds a lot of versatility over the old tractor in 2wd. Like the size over my tractors of the past on the farm since in town only have a couple acres.

Pros: size, quality and dependability
Cons: had to add hydro steering

B6100
Model Year: 1986

I've had this little tractor for several years now, I use it mostly for mowing and gardening with the rear tiller, but I have plows, disks, blades, etc that are used occasionally. The tractor I had before was much bigger (MF35) but the B6100 does everything the larger tractor could do, it just takes a little longer to get it done, plus I have the benefit of 4WD, nowhere near as much soil compaction and it does it all on so little diesel fuel

Pros: Pulling capability, fuel usage, dependability
Cons: No belly ba
