I bought this tractor at an auction. The tractor was only about 30 years old at the time but had been neglected. I figured on restoring it but found it really difficult to find parts. Over the years I managed to keep it running and useful by having an old Ford mechanic put a new clutch and pto shaft in it and a couple of years ago another independent equipment mechanic converted it from 6v positive ground to 12v negative ground and fitted it with a Delco alternator. Since the advent of the internet and online merchandising more parts are available and it is becoming easier to maintain. This year I replaced the leveling box on the 3 point and rebuilt the carb with parts I found online, I think now I will do a restore except will update ignition to electronic which is now available. Since I rebuilt the carb it starts really well.

Pros: Durable, tough old tractor.
Cons: Limited versatility due to not having live power or hydraulic remotes. Cannot find implements like a front mounted snowplow

TEA-20 Ferguson
Old But Trusty
Model Year: 1958

Great little rig for small trails and light enough to use a come along and a high lift jack to get unstuck but yet still strong enough to haul out a few cords of wood.

Pros: Small and light.
Cons: No live PTO.

Ferguson 1950
Model Year: 1950

This Ferguson has been hauling timber this summer; it will be plowing this fall and I plan on using it to pull my new, old Massey Ferguson square baler next summer (this baler runs with a 2 cylinder Wisconsin engine that I just purchased). Fergette, as we call her, is still original on 6 volts and I want to keep her that way. From the research I have done, it is a 80 mm engine (2080) as compared with a second Ferguson I own (purchased by my father in 1953) which is a 2085. Difference being about 7 or 8 hp more in the 2085 or about 30% more powerful. The second Fergie I own will spend the whole winter in the garage being revamped for next season. Why Fergienut? Because I drive 120 miles roundtrip just about every weekend just to sit on these tractors and spend a few hours working with them and screwing and unscrewing a few nuts on them. Eventually, they'll both look good

Pros: Good souvenirs.
Cons: Can't think of any.

This tractor has most of the original parts to it and it is almost 60yrs old. The replacement parts are relatively easy to get, and are well priced. One downfall to this particular model is the availability of parts for the engine. Most of the parts you can still get but some of them are no longer reproduced. The availability of junk yard parts is still there though. Overall when in good working order, this tractor is great for small applications and runs well with proper maintenance.

Pros: Compact design, three point hitch, 540 pto, easy to work on.
Cons: Adapter needed for pto, no rpm gauge, no water temp gauge.
