B2620 Kubota
New Kubota B2620 w/Backhoe
Model Year: 2013

Recently purchased. Got to love 0% financing. Was going to get a BX25D, but after a lot of research on TBN and really focusing on what I was going to do with it, decided to go up a size. Only need to mowe 1 acre, but will till 3 acres. Pull logs, stumps.Grade 2 acres for landscaping, dig foundation for garage. Trench in drain tile and water and septic lines. Have 5 hours of digging with backhoe already. Very easy to use. Digs through wet dirt to 36" like its butter. Stability on a slight muddy slope was very good. More to come as I play with the.

Pros: It's new and powerful.
Cons: It's Bronco orange, not Seahawk blue.

Moved Up
Model Year: 2012

Moving up from a BX2660 for these reasons: - Access to underside for MMM hookup, and servicing filters, MMM and other grease zerks. - Higher ground clearance for plowing, tilling etc. - 3 speed HST. - Little more power and weight. - Foldable ROPS; - Analog(?) Hour Meter - Got good trade in for BX.

Pros: No issues with tractor itself.
Cons: FEL bucket still not quite level to floor.

Rear Axle Lock
Model Year: 2013

The rear axle lock is of very poor design. It will not engage very well, and if it kicks out, it is all-over. Has been totally replaced 3 times and still will not work properly(?). I had a 2011 b 2620 with the same problem, i should have learned !!!! my BX-2200 was perfect all trhe way to 3100 hrs when I traded, BIG mistake !! will never buy another one!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Good on fuel.
Cons: Gets stuck easily.

Kubota B2620
Model Year: 2013

I bought this tractor to clear a lot of brush, large boulders too big to fit in the front loader bucket apprx. 2' x 2' not sure of the weight but I was able to push them where I wanted no problem. I had a pile 10' high x 30' long of cherry tree tops average 18' long x 14" and was able to lift them with the front loader to move without even bouncing the machine. Did an excellent job grading while back dragging the blade. I did have the dealership attach the Steele blade for the front of the loader bucket. I used the backhoe with a 16" bucket to dig 5' down to repair a crack in my foundation all the way to the footing. The front loader bucket was the perfect width to remove the soil to install my new front walk. It left just enough room to screed the sand before paver installation. Another good feature is the front loader bucket has a float position to use for winter plowing. Which I haven't had a chance to try yet. This machine has exceeded my expectations.

Pros: Power to spear.
Cons: When dismounting machine. It is easy to engage the lever for mid mount attachments accidentally.

B2620 Experience
Model Year: 2012

Overall it is a fine tractor. I use it mostly for mowing around 5 acres weekly. I bought this tractor with a 60" deck and turf tires, and nothing else. I traded in a JD455 mower, also with a 60" deck. My major complaint with the JD455 was that it would suck grass clippings onto the shrouds covering the engine, requiring frequent stopping and shutting the engine off to clean it off. I do not have this problem with the B2620. However, I do have a major complaint in that the front tires dig up my grass whenever I turn around at the end of my yard or when I go around trees. This leaves bare ground, as shown by the attached photo. This was in 2-wheel drive and going slowly when turning. The JD455 did not have this problem. It is easier to grease the mower deck on this tractor compared to the JD455. However, the B2620 service manual says to grease it daily. The JD455 only needed to be greased every 25 hours. The B2620 does not come with a mulching deck, where the JD455 did. I have to run over the grass clippings a couple of times to spread them out. However, the B2620 is much better at cutting tall grass.

Pros: Quietness, power, tall grass cutting capability.
Cons: Turf scuffing, no mulching deck availability.

Why Did I Wait 35 Years to Buy a NEW Tractor?
Model Year: 2011

Replaced a Ford 3000 yard ornament and JD X485 mower. Purchased with RCK-60-29B belly mower and LA364 FEL. Does not mow as well as the 485 but much better than the JD 240 the 485 replaced. Purchased a Land Pride BB1548 and with it and the FEL was able to clean out and re-sculpt half acre pond during last summer's drought. Did pump it dry first. Works great, getting firewood up out of the woods and with a Land Pride RCR1548 rotary cutter keeps a 10 acre pasture groomed. Could use 60" rotary cutter but the 48" works better in my wooded areas. I remove the mower and FEL often with no complaints that practice hasn't solved. Handled 2010/11 and 12/13 winter snow with 72" rear blade and FEL. No fluid in tires. Do have an issue with the 3 point linkage and belly mower raising and lowering from the same control. As a result I've bent and had to replace 3 point linkage parts because I backed up with the mower down and hung the linkage up in a bank. I felt a bit stupid and I pay more attention now. I agree with other reviews that the turn signal switch is easily activated with your knee. I'm 6' 3" and that may be part of it. Could use a bigger tool box but I'd just fill it.

Pros: Size, power, ease of operation.
Cons: 3 point and belly mower raise and lower from same control.

B2620 Kubota
Kubota 2620
Model Year: 2012

After quite a long decision making process, I decided on a Kubota B2620 over a similar compared John Deere 2320 or 2520. I believe the JD is a good tractor but opted for the Kubota. I purchased the LA364 loader and 54 inch belly mower. My reason for selecting Kubota is this: The tractor is made in Japan but the front loader and belly mower are made in GA. The JD was made all over the place, I like the fact Kubota makes everything on this tractor. This tractor is strong for its size, I am able to run my father’s 50 inch rear tiller with no problem, front loader is more than enough to pull the rear loaded tires off the ground. Here are some points of interest if you are looking at a tractor of this size: If you are going to use this tractor for mowing, keep in mind if you go over a 54 inch mower deck, you get gauge wheels for height adjustment (JD and Kubota). This means the mower actually rolls on the ground while you mow, if your ground is not perfectly smooth, it’s a horrible experience. If most people are like me, a lot of my yard at one time was pasture so I opted for the 54 inch mower deck which is a "floating" deck...rotary dial adjustable. Another point of the floating deck is that you can lock it in the up position without exiting the tractor and putting a pin in the linkage if you decide to use the 3 pt with the deck still on. Kubota has a three range hydro drive. I hardly ever use the low range (tilling mostly), I find myself using high for tramming and level mowing, med rang works for loader work and mowing on grade. JD pushes its easy on/off loader; I can remove mine in approx 2 minutes. Installing is almost as quick. Just serviced mine for the first time. Kubota offers a 5 filter kit for 100.00 bucks (good deal) it included air, hydro, hydraulic, oil, and fuel filter. This tractor is a little bit lighter than the JD, I cannot speak of the JD's power and traction, but the Kubota has done all I want it to do. It has bar turf tires on the rear and turf on the front. I am amazed at how little it marks the ground even in wet conditions. We have owned and currently own several Ford, John Deere and Massey’s on the farm with no complaints. I am just as happy with this little tractor as I am with the larger ones. I truly believe you will like what you get used to.

Pros: Very strong tractor for size.
Cons: Does not offer quick attach bucket.

B2620 Kubota
Right Size
Model Year: 2010

I wanted a tractor with mid mount mower that could be used for mowing an exteneded area but then would have enough grunt to handle ground work and others that came along. In looking at the internet and seeing all the options available between manufacturers I narrowed my choice to three, John Deere, Kubota & New Holland. Based on price and availability I settled on the Kubota and had my tractor within 10 days of ordering with my options. I bought the tractor with 54 inch mid mount mower, front weights and box scraper. It also comes standard with hydraulic connections and controls for a front end loader. First up I was dissapointed with the front weights and frame on which they sit. Both with and without weights on there is a forward protusion that limits close working conditions. Also they need to be removed for mowing house lawns or the front tyres will tear up the lawn. Removing and installing the weights requires time to bolt and unbolt them. John Deere is superior in this area. First up I had an overgrown weed and grass orchard to clean up. The mid mount mower knocked it all down but I had to take my time as this is a finishing mower and not a brush cutter. After 4-5 mows over 3 weeks I finally had broken down all the clippings and had a smooth finish. As a house lawn mower it does a good job of finishing but requires patience to learn the correct settings and then mowing patterns. As it has no clippings catcher and leaves windrows I have developed a practice of blowing 3-4 rows onto the next row to be mown and the come back in the opposite direction. This tends to mulch to some degree but then leaves a tidy windrow that is eay to manualy pick up. Since purchasing the tractor I have also invested in other attachments. These being, subsoiler, discs, rototiller and woodchipper/shredder. I subsoiled under perfect conditions 3 acres taking about 7 hours to do so and the tractor performed great. On starting each row I locked down the forward speed control so I didn't have to hold down the pedal. I have used the box scaper on numerous occassions and have been amazed at what I can do. Having experience on larger tractors I do miss the floating hydraulic option on this subcompact. I have not used the rototiller very much as whatever I've needed to do I have been able to tear through way quicker than I imagined. The greatest satisfaction use that I've had is using the chipper/shredder. This is credit to the quality of the chipper/shredder but also the Kubota is the right motive source to drive it and the balance of the two pieces of equipment is correct. You will note that I have only given 4 stars on build quality and did so on the basis of the quality of welds on and about the machine. With todays welding technologies better finish and quality should be achieved, paint does not hide the blemish.

Pros: Small, lightweight, power, hydrostatic drive.
Cons: Welds.

Kubota B2620
Model Year: 2009

This is my 1st tractor I have owned so I am not an expert. So far it is very solid and I use it a lot more than I thought I would. I am having a bad experience right now as the transmission is stuck in low gear. I had it taken into the shop to be looked at and they had to take it apart to find a problem with a bent shift fork arm. It only has 53 hours on it but it is over 3 years old. The dealer is trying to get some warranty assistance for me since the hours are so low.

Pros: Solid, versatile.
Cons: Unexpected transmission problem.

B2620 Kubota
Second Kubota Tractor
Model Year: 2009

I bought the 2620 to replace a Kubota BX 1800. I beat the living daylights out of the 1800 for 1200 hours with never a problem. The only reason I changed to a B2620 was to gain some ground clearance, dump height for the FEL and the ability to use more standard size ground engagement attachments.

Pros: Overall the B2620 is a solid machine. Starts easy. Does whatever I ask of it in a predictable manner. I love the speed control on it which my BX didn't have. It is comfortable to be on and operate. I bought the tractor from Callahan Farm Supply in Lindsay Ontario. I have found them to be nice folks and very helpful in giving me phone advice whenever I call them.
Cons: I do have a few complaints, though minor. The hydraulic hoses have worn down the paint on the body. When I remove the FEL hoses from the connectors on the tractor, the caps supplied to cover and protect the male quick attachments pop off as quickly as I put them on. The directional signal switch is in just the worst place for me as my knee constantly turns it on when I get on or off the machine. Finally, the FEL lock lever seems to jiggle over to the lock position as I work and I often find I have to unlock it periodically.

B2620 Kubota
My First Tractor
Model Year: 0

The tractor has plenty of power. I purchased it with the loader and a backhoe, and added a thumb at the 40 fluid change. I gave it a 4 star rating for build quality because the hydraulic lines for the loader had worn down the paint on the body. A 4 star rating on the features is because the loader is not available with a quick disconnect for the bucket, to allow for a different bucket or pallet forks. A 4 star for the value is because the machine is pricy.

Pros: Easy to maneuver, large platform, built in loader controls, compact size even with the backhoe attached. Easy on and off with attachments.
Cons: No quick disconnect with the front bucket. Loader hoses rub the body even when tie wrapped. No emergency brake indicator light.

Solid tractor. Has performed well. Does everything I've needed to. Starts easily in a shed in a Manitoba winter. Can be adapted to do many jobs around the farm. Frame could be made a little heavier (iron), frame could be made a little more robust.

Pros: Does a lot for what I paid for it.
Cons: Light weight and lack of accessories. Example upgrade the alternator is expensive and difficult.

Tough Little Tractor
Model Year: 2011

Great home owner tractor. Does what was promised. Not a commercial tractor. Kubota needs more support after the sale. Dealers have minimal product. Compare Kubota to John Deere.

Pros: Durable. Good value.
Cons: Home owner/estate tractor. Many owners use it as if it were bigger, but it delivers.

B2620 Kubota
Kubota 2620 with Bucket and Backhoe
Model Year: 2010

I have dreamed of owning a tractor for years. We own about 2 1/2 acres hear in Vermont and it was a mostly wooded lot with trees removed only to fit the foundation of the house into. I have spent countless hours cutting down trees, letting the stumps rot a while, and then digging them out by hand. Obviously these were some small stumps. The bigger ones I needed to rent equipment for. I was due for a tractor. My Kubota has done very well for me removing stumps, landscaping, etc. The Kubota really shined after Tropical Storm Irene hit our area. The river behind my buddy's house decided to turn and run through his and his two neighbors basements. after talking with the town for 3 days he finally got the okay to remove the river bed rock enough to turn the river back to it's original path. At this time the river was only 6 inches deep so I drove the 'Bota right in and started moving rock. As my buddy put it, I drove like a rental. This little tractor performed flawlessly. Had a couple scary moments but we moved the river back temporarily. I realize this is not environmentally friendly, but had to be done. Point blank: I love my Kubota and look forward to many more years of fun with it.

Pros: Versatile, good power for most projects.
Cons: No cons. Some days I wished I had a bigger tractor but who doesn't?

Great Tractor
Model Year: 2011

My first CUT and I love it. Given all the attachment options, I've been able to do everything I needed. Digging for 9 foot spruce trees (1400lb balls), maintaining gravel road, mowing, moving four types of dirt constantly (FEL). My favorite option is the QA front options (FEL, Forks, Quick Spade)

Pros: Financing, holds its value.
Cons: Still looking for one.
