I'm thinking about one of these with 102 loader.

Any durability reliability comments?

Spec's appear to stomp JD @ this price point!!

Thanks,

Re: ZETOR 4341 comments/opinions re potential purc

We had several failures of the air pump on the left side toward the front--When it goes out, it stops the tractor operation completely--It Is a major job to take the complete front end from the tractor to get the pump off and rebuild or replace it--Most of our failures occured under warranty and Zetor took care of the costs involved--However--3 in 1 year got us a little concerned about that issue--Ken Sweet

Barry,
As a fair sized Zetor dealer,I am admittedly somewhat biased, but I also own one for my own farm (haying) operation.
I can honestly say that we just don't have problems with these tractors. Most all of our customers will freely brag about their Zetors purchased from us.
We have never seen the problem with the air compressor locking up---I suspect these may have occurred on the open station tractors where the compressor may have been left running continually.
Zetor is one of the few brands that still manufacture everything themselves--castings and all.
Parts have never been a problem for us--American Jawa cliams a 98% fill rate---our experience bears this out.
A few short years ago Zetor built some tractors for the green guys--even tried to buy Zetor.
Bottom line is--Zetor is a well-built, tough tractor, built for serious work, at a reasonable price.
We have never had a customer say he was sorry he bought one.
The 102 loader is similar in design to the Quicke-Alo loader, both of which are the best built agricultural loaders on the market, in my opinion. The 102 is designed for the tractor, has a massive frame, and is easy to attach and to take off.

Sorry for my soapbox approach--but you asked for an opinion.

If Memory serves me right? You have that just backward--Zetor Cab tractors require the air pump to run all the time for the differential lock to work and the open station units can be turned off--Ken Sweet

Re: ZETOR 4341 comments/opinions re potential purc

Yep,that was my point---the cab tractors have a valve to control the pressure and an air tank.
The open tractors only have the compressor which is manually turned on and off right at the pump on the left front side of the engine--and if it is accidently left on , I could see how it could fail.
Out of curiousity, do you remember whether the failed ones you mentioned, were on open or cab models?

Thanks for your interest in Zetor. Like all other tractors and equipment regardless to manufacturer, they are mechanical and they are built by people, I will guaranty you at some point they will break. What I also say is American Jawa has a service support and parts department second to none and we and our dealers will be their to help resolve any issues you may have.

Zetor has built in excess of 1,000,000 tractors world wide. They are one of the few tractor manufacturers that still build most of the components that make up their tractor. Their engines are known for long life and excellent fuel economy. You do not need an engineering degree to work on them. They are one of the heaviest and most durable tractors in their class. They have every thing you need and nothing you don’t. Parts availability is not only excellent but very reasonably priced. If you go out and ask 10 Zetor owners would they buy another, I would bet $$ at least nine of them would say absolutely. If you are happy with the dealer and the price go for it. I am confident you will be very please with the product.
Hope that helps.

I hope the Zetor 4341 is a good tractor because I ordered one and paid for it on December 11. I don't have it yet and I'm starting to wonder just how long it takes to install the front end loader. I ordered it with the 102HL loader with the 72" bucket and a bale spear. The options I selected were the shuttle shift and a block heater. Hopefully, I'll have it in a few weeks and I'll report back after I put some hours on it.

The 4341 is an excellent tractor, probably the most popular model. If your dealer needed the tractor and/or the loader it could have been delayed because the depot shut down between the holidays. That being the case I would think you should she it soon.
Good luck and happy tractoring

Ok -- looks like there are dealers & a buyer out there:

How do you restart after running dry of fuel?

How well does the mechanical shuttle work? Seems like it is a hand-foot combo. We have a JD 350 dozer where clutch & power reverser are both hydraulic.

What is the price of dealer 50 hour fluids & filter change out?

Do you sell these with weights/loaded tires all around?

New tractor will put venerable '48 JD A into semi retirement.

My first task for this machine is bush hogging with JD 6' pull behind about 30 AC. Sidehill mowing. I want to reclaim this field for hay. The bottom of slopes are boggy preventing straight up down.

Slopes are 4/12 or worse with rocks, holes, varmits, etc.

JD dealer thought a 5105 would be perfect, I thought the machine was way too light. I don't trust the A off the crowns.

Dozer does not have a PTO
