ZD326- How to lube the deck height knob

After six years it's getting sticky. I've peered under and around the shroud but didn't see an obvious access to the shaft. Hoping I don't have to remove the shroud. Anybody done this?

On my L3400hst the drop knob/shaft was frozen when the tractor was delivered. I used some Kroil to bust it loose, and some Fluid Film once in a while to keep it lubed up. Don't crank too hard on that shaft as it is small and somewhat delicate.

I'm wondering that a real lube job might affect it ability to stay on its setting when in motion.......just wondering.
