YTH21K46 and plowing the garden

Ok, I own a YTH21K46 and I want to plow a small area for a garden with a Brinly sleeve hitch moldboard plow but the sleeve hitch for Husqvarna says its for garden tractors only. After some reading it's due to the heavy duty frame and 5 lug rim instead of the one center lug on garden tractors. I live in Florida though, not like I'm going to hit a bolder, clay or any type of heavy soil. Any thoughts on using the sleeve hitch on my lawn tractor to plow up grass in the sand?
Yes, we've looked but walk behind tillers take too long in the 100 degree heat.

I think its because of the transmission-the transmission is not rated for pulling loads at slow speeds for very long. This may overheat the transmission which is not good. The other thing is traction-only one wheel will pull at any given time so you may just sit and spin.

That being said I have heard of people using this version for light duty pulling with no problems.

Like cdaigle430 said, the issue here is that your tractor's transmission wasn't built to handle the stress of plowing or any ground engaging chore. It will most likely overheat and screw up trying to do so. Lawn tractors are built mainly for mowing and towing a light cart around the property, while garden tractors have transmissions suitable for heavier jobs, such as plowing.

You may want to look for a inexpensive older garden tractor strictly for pulling the plow, and keep the Husqvarna for mowing.

I don't think I would try it. Most ground engaging transmissions are built to be serviced. I bet yours is not.
