Your towing rigs and trailers

Thanks! Yeah, sorry for the double pix post, I did post it some pages back. It's the only pic of my truck on my computer!

What are the specs on your trailer? I'm sure the aluminum truck and trailer are nice to have since your sig says Ohio. This trailer belongs to my neighbor and he never uses it. It is an 18ft with 5200lb axles and brakes on both. It sits a little taller than I prefer and I don't love the side rails. Pulls nicely loaded but it is overkill for the BX and difficult to load cars and pallets. IMG_0673.JPG

That looks like a nice HD trailer! Always a good thing to error on the over-kill side I think, when it comes to towing.

Here's a link to the R&R website, where I got my trailer:

I had been weighing the options of trading in my F250 7.3 Lariat extended cab for a F250 6.7 or F150 3.5 crew cab......

Don't do it brother, let me help talk you back away from the edge before you jump:laughing:

Maiden voyage towing with the Expedition. Picked up a Land Pride 5ft finish mower from my dad’s place with the BX. Very impressed with the King Ranch IMG_1210.JPGIMG_1212.JPG

I am pretty sure this one doesn’t have the auto load leveling rear suspension but no complaints with how it handled. I would have liked just a little more tongue weight but I couldn’t pull the BX any further forward.

On some tractors you can rotate the bucket all the way over (dumped to the maximum) and that shortens the overall package a little bit. That might allow you to pull forward 6" to 12" and still leave the bucket on the deck. Not all tractors have enough rotation on the bucket, but you might try that. The load looks fine like it is though.

Thanks for the tip Dave and I like keeping the bucket on the deck. I did think about positioning the bucket in the max dump position but I preferred to keep the cylinders as short as possible. The load was very stable at all speeds, I think I am just used to pulling with the F250 that has an almost 2ft longer wheelbase!

Also, before anybody says anything I wasn't finished strapping down tractor / implements when the pics were taken!
