Holy crap! what is the weight of that trailer an load. The truck looks mini compared to the trailer. Those round bales are huge. You guys have some great pics. I'm suprised at the number of small trailers being used. I thought I'd see lots of 20' plus trailer being used by you guys. I'm trailer shopping now and I'm looking at 22 footers. I figure my tractor is 20' from bucket to hoe and I'm sure I'll want to take other attachments long with me.

14 bales on the trailer @ 1000lbs per??...makes a nice 7 ton load...:)

Those are big 4x6 rolls, probably 1200 lbs+ each. Most 4x6 rolls I carry leave 2 foot of empty trailer on the end. The trailer has 12K axles and probably weighs 7-8K.

clenhart, I know its slightly off topic but how do you like that Bestop soft truck cap?
Ive been shopping for a truck and I'll need a cap and am considering the Bestop. Hows the fit and ease of raising/lowering? Is a passthrough front window an option? Hows it seem to be holding up?
TIA, Ray

RayH,

I love it... I bought it last year right before a vacation to Colorado for additional storage room while 4-wheeling in the mountains. I haven't taken it off since. It has held up very well so far and does a good job of keeping all the wet Louisiana weather on the outside. I did not see an option for a pass-thru window (would be nice though). The only drawback I can think of is, it gets pretty stiff and is sometimes tough to un-zip in the cold, but that is not very often a problem down here...

Sounds good. I own a couple softop Jeeps so I understand the stiff material and uncooporative zippers in the winter. My biggest concern is that I need some type of roof rack to transport my kayaks and canoe. Thats easy with a fiberglass cap but Im not sure how I would accomplish it with the Bestop.
