Your towing rigs and trailers

Good point. I can see the trailer tires are squatting some as it is. Balance is a valid concern but I still like the load as close to the front as makes sense so if the load shifts forward it is against something solid. We all have seen boats on the cabs of TV's that stopped faster then the boat. I still like to load heavy to the high side of the road in case I drop off the pavement which is required on some roads around here from time to time.

I agree completely

Had to take my tractor in for a front axle leak repair.

Well your tractor sure makes my compact telehandler look compact :D.

The trailer weighs 5,000 pounds, is 22' long, with a steel deck. The Versahandler weighs just under 11,000 pounds.

I always back it on to protect the windshield. With the front axle centered between the trailer axles, it puts enough weight on the truck to ride and handle great.

Nice telehandler. I could find 10,000 uses for it.

My tractor is just under 10ft tall. It clears a 10ft door with about 3" to spare. The width is about 8'6".

I back mine on because it's easier to unload. I don't like backing down the ramps with the tires hanging off them about 3-4" on each side.

How much less do your tires hang off each side when you are backing UP the ramps?

Easier to stop going up than down :p

Also more likely to run into problems when you’re first starting and running off the ramp at the top is worse than running off at the bottom.

The V417 is 6.5ft tall, 6ft wide and 13ft long.

Another advantage of my machine backing up the ramps and on the trailer deck, I can see the edge of the wheels and also steer the rear wheels .
