Keep in mind that your generator is air cooled. Take advantage of that by using it to heat the tank. Make insulated enclosure for the tank and direct the cooling air from the engine into it. Or just manifold more tanks together.

Also understand that your generator make 35 amps on each leg connected through a connector rated for 50 amps so you really don’t have power to spare depending on the loads in the house and how they are balanced between those two 35 amp legs.

Worthy of a test :)...... glancing at the Weather Channel, looks like your Jan/Feb lows are something like 17F.

I've seen many early posts from you, but I suspect neigbours might not be impressed with a 4am test run :D

I'd do a late-day test, on one of those cold days with a single tank, and go from there........ we will always be around later to help with your mission-to-Mars/empty bank account Heat Supplement Build :)

"lows are something like 17F"

Does the Fahrenheit scale still work in Canada?

For an old 'un like me, Yep...... I move between both, depending on audience and application.

-8.3333333 degree Celsius wouldn't mean much to non-scientists, south of 49'th :)

It's interesting how terminolgy gets used by geography. Many USA gearheads (and others) routinely use L to describe engine displacement, while Canuck gearheads still tend to use F to describe coolant thermostats.......

Things that make you go Hmmmmmm........

yup, sort of like how I'm feeling in general...;)

got cover put on today, unimpressed with erector set press on construction where rods kept pulling out of
press fit plastic fittings. Need to go back and put a drop of adhesive on each fitting. Plastic was decent quality and stitching and velcro
ok so now looks slightly more presentable than my blue tarp. Need to get a cover for propane tank, not the heated kind...and a zip loc bag to fit over
cord end

I need to Fab a cover for my PTO generator. I was thinking maybe a small self supporting tent with the floor cut out. Or maybe run a cord from the tractor to a single stake being the generator, then drape a tarp over the cord?
Anyone cover their PTO generator?

Also, arnt you afraid of someone swiping it. I had an air compressor stollen from me WHILE IT WAS BEING USED ON A NAIL GUN. Thieves suck

Huge problem... roofer had his extension ladder stolen while on roof... Genset thieves thrive during public safety power shutoff... always have mine chained and padlocked and it runs behind a locked fence.

Easy way to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, in your head.

EXAMPLE: 13C ....doubled = (26),.... minus 10%,. (26 minus 2.6) = 23,..... add 32 = 55 degrees F.

Works ACCURATELY throughout the scale!
